The Tree of Knowledge

What would the world look like if every law in the Bible were obeyed? God is real. There's no question of that. God is real, he is all powerful, and he demands complete obedience. Those that can't obey, face the threat of eternal damnation in Hell. Endless suffering and hellfire, for such grievous sins as eating bacon or getting a tattoo. Or refusing your dad when he sells you to your new husband, a man who, at 55, is clearly seeking an "emotionally" fulfilling marriage with a 16 year-old girl. A girl who's still in love with her best friend, that she's never going to see again. But she forces a smile and she puts that white veil on, and does her best to live in this world where every word of a book written 2,000 years ago is law. And remember, Jesus loves you.
