Yet, in a grotesque twist of fate, he spun around, only to find the man standing eerily by his car, as if he'd materialized from thin air.
A bone-chilling silence yielded to a commanding voice, slicing through the palpable tension, as the man ordered Decan to step into the vehicle. Decan's compliance was devoid of life as he stopped and entered the vehicle. An instant later, the man drove away.
