Irene had no choice. She raised the blade. After her family is murdered by her recently acquired Aunt Nahass, Irene Methuselah finds herself in a circumstance no fifteen year old should have to face.
She has been imprisoned by her father, her sister murdered in cold blood and her mother hostage. Now she has to delve into a secret mission of assassinating the Crane's King in order to keep her mother and sister alive.
Not to mention, she finds more conspiracies that lead her to believe her Father is lying. Now, Irene must choose whether to aid her father or to spare the life of the innocent man she may have kidnapped to drag into this mess of a situation.
