Chapter 8: Dance Lesson

It’s been ten days since I joined the competition and ten days of training with a sword on my hands. It’s not bad at all because for ten days, I already know the proper handling of the sword. How to defense my self from the battle. But, in ten days two ladies been quit and go back home. I was wondering that supposed to be I’m the first one to quit. But her I am, still standing on the ground and facing my own battle. The Longingness for my family.

Today is another day, I was wondering what will be the next thing we gonna do. Froilan told us that they gonna trained us with different things that a princess must have. First, the handling of sword and depending our selves. And today, is still a question. They gathered us all ladies in this room and still waiting for the next instruction.

Faye and Gaile are setting next to me, and other girls are with there own companions. I was surprised when I saw Freda Grey standing in front of us together with Gee-Ann and Phoebe.

“Do you need something?” i asked them.

“No we don’t.“Freda answered, but I was just wondering why the three of you is still here?” she added.

“Are there any problem with that? Your still her, why can’t we?” Faye asked her curiously. Then Freda laugh. Like an evil laugh. I really can’t imagined, she’s beautiful but her attitude is not. She rolled her eyes and cross her arms.

“Look! You gais are not capable of being a princess. You know why? Look at your self , the three of you are not belong her. The Tiara is only for the royal blood like us. And You!!! she said, then pointed her finger in my directions. Chloe Margarette Hamingway, she emphasized my name. Your not really belong her, as I know your just being tricked by your sister and registered your name that’s why your her. Why don’t you go back home now, and back to the place where you belong. You poor lady!!!!!! You have looks but you don’t possess the characters of being a princess.....” she said She’s right I am not supposed to be her. Gaile tap my shoulder and stood up. “Stop it Freda!” Gaile said in a high tone that catches the attention of other ladies. I stood up too and Faye is behind my back. Youre not in charged here and you don’t have the guts to tell us what we gonna do. Your right, they doesn’t possess of having a royal blood like you, but we have the character’s that you don’t have.” she added. Anger painted on Freda’s eyes.

“You idiot!” Freda shouted.

“Look at you! Who’s the pooriest now my dear? Your attitude and your mouth is not a princess characteristics. ” Gaile added. Freda is about to slap Gaile’s face when Froilan suddenly came.

“Are there any problem here ladies?” he asked.

“Nothing......

“Good! By the way let me introduce to all of you Lady Lumina. Your dance instructor for five days.” he said. For now, I will leave you with Lumina. I’ll be back after an hours. Bye ladies..he added then turn her back and walked away.

“Good day Ladies! As Froilan said awhile ago I am your dance instructor for five days. I am looking forward to be with you and you only have five days, so better listen and learn. Today, im gonna teach you on how to dance like a princess. I bought you a gown to be used in our training. So please pick up one box for each ladies.” she said then let us get one by one.

We started opening our chosen boxes, and my eyes says ’wow’. It’s a very beautiful and elligant gown. A light blue gown with a silver linings and a fair of high heel shoe. I’m gonna wear this high heel? I asked my self. I’m not a fan of a shoe like this, usually I wear rubber shoes in school and not even try of wearing a one inch dancing shoe. What am I going to do now? Im not dancing and I dont even wear pointed heels. My mind stop from worrying when I heard Lady Lumina’s voice.

“You have only ten minutes to fixed your self. Wear that gowns with you. Go back in your rooms now and be back after. I’m waiting.” she said, then we started to walked in our rooms.

I looked onto the mirror and watched my own reflection. A gentle smile painted on my face. This gown is perfect. I felt like it was fitted. It’s a off shoulder that makes my back visible. After a minute, I returned to the room where we gonna trained. I opened the door and the ladies are looking at my directions. They looked so amazed. Gaile and Faye cross there arms on mine and guided me to the front.

“You looked fabulous.” Gaile whispered then smiled.

Lady Lumina show us some steps, it looks so hard because I am not a dancer. Even in school, I dont even joined dancing because my feet are all left. I remember Amber, it’s the dance from the Fantasy movies she watched. Now, I regret for not paying attentions everytime she’d watch that kind of movies. Its not really easy, I dropped off the on the floor a lot of times.

“I’m sorry for stepping your feet.” I said blushing with my partner. The palace also hired some guys to be our dancing parners and that makes me go crazy. It’s the first time I danced with a guy. I was so embarrassed. I felt sorry for my self. But on the other hand, im thankful with my partner because he’s a good dancing partner.

“Don’t worry Lady Chloe, just trust me and let me handle this. he said with assurance. Like he said, I let him handle me, I just go with the flow. But I lose my balance when Freda stepped on my gown. I was about to fall off, but Hans handed me. So I regain my balance.
