Chapter 13

He had marked me. And I liked it, slightly. Only slightly.

I was standing in front of the mirror, in the bathroom, staring at my neck. It was slightly red, but you could a outline of a wolf. It was like a tattoo.

“Bella?” I heard Vincent’s voice behind the door.

“What?” I opened the door, making sure my face looked upset and angry.

“What’s wrong? Does it hurt? Sit down, I’ll put some cream on for you” he pulled me to the bed, and made me sit down.

He got down on his knees, and opened the bedside table, and pulled out a first-aid kit.

“This should help with the burn” he whispered taking a tube of cream and putting some on his fingers. He turned towards me, and stared at me.

“May I, Bella?” I nodded slowly, knowing I can’t pretend anymore.

He put his finger on the mark, and it tingled.

“Don’t worry. It’ll only tingle for a little bit” he whispered his breath fanning over my shoulder. He was concentrating hard, leaning closer to my shoulder, making sure he didn’t miss a place.

“Why didn’t you look for me, Vincent?” I whispered and he froze, but carried on.

“You told me not to. I knew where you were. I just didn’t know what you were doing. I was going to come and look at you, every week, but then I remembered, you said to leave you alone”

“Did you really think I meant it?” He nodded

“I asked a few times Bella, if this is it? And you said yes. What am I meant to think?”

“I was angry, upset. You were hiding so many things from me, I was lost. I didn’t fit in with all of you” I whispered and he shook his head and looked at me.

“You don’t understand Bella. You fit in with us so much, that everyone was upset, for at least a month. My grandma and grandad left, and went back to Italy. And me? I was lost without you. I didn’t know what to do, Bella. I was stuck. I moved into this room, because I wanted to kill everyone. I wanted to do something to get you back, but I couldn’t. You said not to follow you, and I had to respect that” he sighed

“I missed you so much, Bella. Every day, every moment, every second. I was alone. I finished school in silence, I took over my dad’s company, to get rid of this pain. I pushed it away, right back, hoping that you would come back on your own. And you did. I felt it Bella. I felt you enter the castle, that’s why I came running home. The King felt, the Queen’s arrival” I smiled.

“Cliché?” He smiled at me.

“You’re back, Bella.” I nodded

“I know. Shall I stay? Forever?” He nodded, holding my hand.

“Please?”

“If you tell me something?” He nodded

“Did you date Layla, again?” I questioned and he chuckled

“Jealous?”

“Jay. He helped me Vincent. I helped him, he helped me.”

“I wasn’t dating Layla at all. I didn’t date anyone. Layla said that if you saw her and I together, you would get jealous, and come back to me” he smiled and I rolled my eyes.

“Do you love me Vincent?” He nodded

“What’s that?” He pulled the pendant out from under my shirt.

“Did Jay give you this? Don’t wear it” he pulled it off my neck, holding it in his hand.

As soon, as the pendant was off, I felt a breeze, the windows opening, and a black smoke heading towards me. Vincent could see it too,because he placed the pendant around my neck quickly, and the the smoke disappeared.

“What the fuck was that?” He asked locking the pendant into place.

“Luficer. Rose gave me this, before I left. It’s a pendant to keep the demons and spirits away” he nodded

“Sorry Bella. I didn’t know” I nodded

“It’s okay Vincent. As long as I’m okay” he chuckled standing up

“What’s going to happen, with this mark now?” I asked looking up at him.

“Well, you’ll feel jealous if I talk to girls, you’ll be more possessive of me” he smirked, holding my hand, and pulling me up

“Oh. So I get all of this? What happens to you?”

“I’ll feeling like taking you, Everytime. I’ll feel like kissing you every second” Oh

He smirked, pulling me out of the room.

We walked downstairs, and saw Jay, coming out of the kitchen.

“Hailey? I was waiting for you upstairs?” He smirked walking towards me.

“Back off” Vincent stood in front of me.

“Hailey?” Jay looked at me.

“It’s okay Jay. He knows” Jay nodded

“Well I have to talk to you” he sat down on the step

I sat down next to him, and Vincent stood up, on the step.

“I have to go back”

“What? Why?” I asked quickly

“Because the company,was meant to bring Nick, the other lawyer, but he had plans, which are cancelled now. So he’s coming here, and I’m going back” he smiled

“But Ja-” he shook his head

“It’s okay Hailey. I told you yesterday, there’s a lot of fish in the sea. I’ll just wait for the shark to come” I rolled my eyes, smiling.

“When are you leaving?”

“Today. Well now. There’s a car waiting for me outside” I nodded hugging him tightly

“I’ll miss you so much Jay. Remember to com-” Vincent growled lowly but I ignored him.

“Remember to come back okay. If you don’t, I’ll find you and chop off your balls” Vincent growled louder, pulling me off Jay.

“Enough hugging now” he mumbled

“One last time” Jay hugged me tightly, before letting me go

“My bags and everything is in the car, Hailey. I’ll call you sometime. I love you” he kissed my forehead, before standing up.

“I love you too Jay” I whispered as he walked out of the castle.

“No you don’t.” Vincent pulled me up.

“You only love me” he whispered into my ear.

“Me. Do you understand Bella?” He placed a kiss behind my ear.

“What if I don’t love you?”

“Then they’ll be problem” he chuckled letting me go.

“I love you Vincent”

“You do?” He whispered shocked.

“What’s so shocking?” I asked

“You said it for the first time” he mumbled

“Well it’s true. I do love you” he smiled, leaning down, placing his lips on mine.

“I love you too Bella. Always” he whispered letting me go.

“When are you getting married?” I heard Mia’s voice behind Vincent.

“Tell me Bella. When do you want to get married?” I shrugged.

“I don’t know” I knew I was blushing.

“Maybe next week?” I shook my head

“That’s too early” he nodded

“When you’re ready, then” I smiled at him.

“I love you” I whispered

“I love you too.”
