Every choice has a consequence, but who takes a moment to consider the worst of them? Tracks is the story of seventeen-year old Leslie Lucas, an artistic skater with a very firm grip on reality. But when her brother is murdered, her reality is shaken to the core. Sent to her Irish family in the hopes of helping her cope, Leslie wants nothing to do with the sleepy village or the cousin that awaits her there, and flees the moment she has a chance. Unknowingly, she flees directly into the heart of her dead brother's Faery war. Determined to get answers to questions she'd never known existed, Leslie is forced to rely on a nameless winged stranger when her cousin refuses to acknowledge the Faeries and her aunt claims they're nothing but stories. As the lies pile one on top of the other, Leslie knows she's running out of time. If she has any hope of discovering what it was her brother was fighting for, then she can't be bogged down anymore. As the secrets of her family's history begin to take shape, Leslie realizes she has a place in this feud whether she likes it or not. Now, Leslie must pick up where her brother left off, and somehow decide who the true enemy is: the comrades of her winged partner or her own kin.
