As she touched her cheeks, Nataly felt the moist tears streaming from her eyes. ‘Aly why are you sad?’ she asked with concern. ‘That was Simon saying goodbye to us. He has returned to the moon goddess.’

In tears, Aly realized that the thread that tied them together had severed, and it would never be repaired. ‘I know we were not true mates any more, but there was still something in me for him.’ she said.

Eric almost reached Nataly his eyes wild, now that he lost Simon the small sanity he had was gone. He was planning to grab Nataly and swing her over his shoulder and make a run for it. He would go to the rogues hide out. He didn’t care for his pack anymore. All he wanted was to get away alive with his mate. He would make a new pack a stronger one.

Eric was walking away with her when a voice came from behind them.

Eric turned to look at the person that interrupted his escape plan. “And who are you to tell me what to do with my mate?”

Jerry had shifted to his human form and was now confronting Eric. "She is my mate you delusional ass, you can ask her to confirm my words.” He said pointing with his chin to Nataly.

Before Eric could ask her, Nataly replied.

“He is my true mate.”
