The day went on with Eric by her side she didn’t feel comfortable around him but what else could she do she put herself in this mess now she has to be strong, the dinner with the pack members was alright they all received her with open arms but to her they all seemed fake their smiles didn’t reach their eyes everything in this pack feels cold except the omegas even if they are treated badly they always greet people with sincerity in their eyes.

When the time to head to bed she dreads it she didn’t want to be intimate with Eric, luckily, he didn’t touch her he told her that he had to save energy because tomorrow he would go to another pack for an alpha meeting, he would be absent for two weeks.

Courtney made plans as soon as he left to go seek Aly’s buddy and take it to her parents like she promised but she needed someone who was from here to take her there she was not used to these lands and could get lost if she went on her own, she was think in who to ask when a young omega servant came to her room could she ask her to go with her.

The young woman greeted her "Hi Luna, I’m Catalina. I came to assist you with your needs. I will be your personal maid.” Courtney smiled at her “Hi Catalina nice to meet you, you may call me Courtney no need for formalities when we are together.”

“But I must you are above me luna, if Alpha knows he will rip my throat out” Catalina said with fear, Courtney felt bad on how all this woman had been treated she would try to convince Eric to treat them better like the rest of the pack members.

Courtney only waived her hand as saying nonsense for her they were equal both made small talk while she was papering to go down to eat lunch, but before they went out, she asked the girl if she could take her later on to the south side border, Catalina agreed to take her but not before asking her why she wanted to go.

She didn’t want to let her know more than necessary, that could get Catalina in danger not only her, but she also couldn’t risk their lives. She told her she would tell her once they were there.

When the sun was going down Catalina went to Courtney’s room so they could leave “luna I have the things you asked me ready they are in this backpack we can leave now I don’t see any guards around, we will leave through the service door.”

“Great Cata, let’s get going, thank you for coming with me. I would get lost by myself.”

they moved quickly through the house and left, once out the shifted to their wolfs, Cata with the backpack on her muzzle they ran the trajectory through the forest wasn’t hard, but it was far, on the way nothing happened they didn’t encounter any other wolf on the way that was a bit odd she thought not even the patrolling ones.

Once there they both shifted back and dressed Cata pointed to the twisted tree, “that is the cursed tree luna, the one you asked me about.”

Courtney moved closer to it. The smell of rotting flesh and death hit her nose. She knew the girl from her dream was once real.

She shifted to her brown wolf and started to dig like crazy Catalina looked at her strangely but shortly followed suite and helped her, the hole wasn’t too deep, but she could smell the rotting flesh, the body started to show her, and Catalina jumped when they saw it, they shifted back to their human form.

“Catalina bring me the sack to put in the body.”

Catalina grabbed the sack from the backpack, the body was already discomposing it would fit in the medium size sack the only thing they didn’t think trough was something to cover their faces the smell coming from the corps was strong and awful, they hold their breaths the best they could putting the parts in the bag luckily they did bring more cloths to change and gloves, different set of shoes.

Once they finished putting everything in it was night, both of them walked to a stream near the tree to wash off the smell and changed, “luna how did you know there was a body here if you just arrived a month and half ago” Catalina asked her.

“I had a strange dream Cata, that is how” Courtney said.

“You saw her in your dream, that is incredible. Did she tell you her name and how did she die” Catalina got curious and wanted to know.

“Yes, Catalina, she told me everything and I promised to take her body to her parents for them to mourn her and have some kind of peace because she told me they were suffering not knowing where she was.”

“Oh, that is really sad, where do they live?”

“On the north side of the border where all the omegas are located.”

Catalina looks at her with a stern face “that means she was an omega, like me.”

“Yes, she was a very young one” Catalina’s face drops tears gathering in her eyes, “no it can’t be her” she whispers.

“did you say something Cata” Courtney asked Catalina seeing her face morph to sorrow “did she tell you her name luna” by now Catalinas voice is barely audible “Indeed her name was Aly” by the mention of that name Cata cried more “she was my baby cousin, she was barely fifteen, how could this have happened to her, she was my aunts only daughter, please tell me who did this to her she deserves justice”

“She told me it was a rogue. She came here to the stream because it was a peaceful place and didn’t see the rogue on time. It came fast at her and sliced her jugular” Courtney lied she had to Aly asked her to tell that lie.

“Oh my god, when she disappeared everyone though she had left with a guy a rumor was speared out of nowhere, so nobody went looking out for here not that it mattered she was an omega not an important member, the only one still looking for her is my aunt, uncle and me, know I see would’ve never found her.”

“I’m so sorry Cata, for your family loss nobody should go through this pain, now we have to keep going we have to take her to your aunt” Courtney says hugging her, Catalina nods, “we should take off the cloths and shift it is thirty minutes to get to the north side.”

They put the cloths in the backpack, Catalina took the backpack in her muzzle and Courtney the sack with Aly’s remaining’s they ran the fastest they could to Aly’s parents’ house they didn’t want to be stopped by one of the night patrollers or for anyone to smell the stench that the sack was producing.
