“Mom, she’s gonna be living with us from now on, Emmett said with a grin, about to stride forward but noticed Aiden coming out of the house too.
Aiden spotted Clara and ran over, brimming with excitement.
“Mommy! I’ve missed you so much”
Clara immediately bent down to lift Aiden, kissing his cheek. “I’ve missed you too!
Aiden blushed a bit, looking shyly at Alex, ‘Dad, is he my brother?”
“Yup” Emmett nodded, “Let’s not chat at the door, let’s go inside!”
“Right!” Sophia nodded enthusiastically. “Let’s head in and chat. I can’t wait to spoil my two grandsons!”
Come evening, the Melendez family had prepared a lavish dinner welcoming Alex’s arrival.
Clara watched Alex enjoying himself between his grandparents, feeling a bit emotional
Maybe she had been too selfish, depriving Alex of the love he deserved.
“What’re you thinking about?”

Clara paused, then said, “Nothing just envying this harmonious family atmosphere”
“You’re part of it, you don’t need to envy.” Emmett chuckled, “Clara, you… planning on having another kid with me?”

“My mom asked me about this before dinner Emmett said thoughtfully. “You don’t need to feel pressured; no one will force you into anything. You have to tell me what you think! My mom asked because she wanted to know our plans!”
Caught off guard, Clara blinked, unsure of what to say.
In fact, she hadn’t thought about this topic at all

“And you?” Clara suddenly grew curious about his answer, “Do you want another kid?”
“Yeah!” Emmett answered, ‘I already have two sons, I’d love to have a daughter.”
Clara glanced at him, then laughed, “You? You’re not cut out for a daughter.”
“What? Why not?” Emmett chuckled curiously, “Are you saying I’m not good–looking?”
Clara quickly shook her head, “If you’re not good–looking, there’s no one good–looking in this world!”
“So you’re complimenting me?”

Clara’s cheeks turned red, and she quickly turned her face away, “That’s not what I mean. I’m just saying, you’re so dominating, who would dare to marry your daughter?”
Emmett pondered a bit. That person would have to be extraordinary! And if he’s not nice to my daughter, that’s a definite no–go!”
“See! You’ll be the kind of dad who meddles in his daughter’s marriage.”
“Well, that depends on the situation! If my daughter is wronged and I, as a father, do nothing, am I even a father?”
