Unknown Magic (3)
Chapter 24.1

Madam agreed to meet up with me at the residence and so I make my way there. Pacific Rim in season is not much different, only thing that truly happens is when rain storms happen or hurricanes, that is when weather truly changes otherwise it just normal beating down sun. And for some reason I don’t mind as much. Since I am trying to warm myself for the things to come.

I make my way into the residence and find Madam seating where I found her weeks ago when I questioned life. I make my way to her and sit myself opposite of her in the armchair. The fire pit still not active, I do not think it ever will be.

I still watching Madam as she places papers facedown not wanting me to see them. Her eyes reach mine boring silver into red and her hands fold together.

“Have you come to a decision yet?” she asked, but I can tell there is difference in her voice but I do not know what.

I refocus and no, “yes, Wolf and I discussed it over the summer and even though I do not have experience I am willing to teach, pass forth my knowledge which means I can still fight.” But rarely in battle.” But I can still train as well I can what else I can learn about with my powers.” Even the words do not seem real to me and I feel lost, but I must do it.

Madam smiles, appreciating my answer and she stands gesturing me to join her. I do and she takes my hands.

“It may be hard but I guarantee you will be grateful.”

I let the words go in one ear and slip out the other. As I tried to understand her but I do not know anymore.

“I want to believe your decision of choice, but I can’t agree about the upcoming future and hat it will bring.”

Her silver eyes shine and she nods her head.

“And to confirm, you are not taking her away, Elektra just going to train her at the age of nine?” I asked already knowing the answer.

She chuckles, “Don’t’ worry she will be in good hands, it just the matter of will the outcome of this decision be good. And when times comes, I hope it will be.”

I nod and turn away taking a step towards the door but stop to look out the windows that showcase a bustling yet quiet street, the people in their own worlds probably something going on to the harbour while others come from. Two girls in school uniform walk by chatting about whatever while the city surroundings the people flash or shine light once and awhile. The hard light that come the sky. I turn back to Madam and smile. sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ Findɴovel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“Talk to you in a few weeks. “I say and make my way outside to not a hot street from form the afternoon sun reflections. It may been like some things are brighter but I don’t see a light at the end of this tunnel. Least physically I do not. As I find myself gripping the railing and fine my breathing as the worlds dims before me.

Another vision comes. As no sword flashes or blood dripping rather, I find myself walking to a window looking out at the surroundings finding pink and red flowers bloom on the trees before me. A reminder of a new birth in spring, a new stage to begin in life. Though I am standing in a unknown space, a castle like of some sort. My breathing though is forcing itself to become steady yet it if from fighting, I think. Where am I?

I see a stream below almost looking like a utopia. Thought I find someone behind me, their body odd, demanding, they don’t feel right. Their hands come over mine and hot flashes spring forth under my skin. I gasp and a voice come, ‘run or be strong, do not lose this battle, just fight till your last dying breathe.’

I was thrown back and standing onto on the steps just outside the residence where I was once before. I glance at my hand and saw it gripping the railing till my knuckles went white. I slowly released and was calm. I actually had a clean vision, but what was it about anyways?

I guess I will find out soon enough yet something was telling me I did not want the answer.

‘Fight till my last dying breath?’ what did that even mean?

I shake myself from the daze and continue forth back to the Hunters Forest making me to the portal.

I arrived back and take in the forest that surrounds me, it always captures me the freedom it bestows especially in this season. I made my way to the house knowing already Wolf is thinking about what I am thinking. I wonder what conclusion we will come together with.

I walk the trail and find myself in the village with the others going about their business making this pack function as usual. I have to watch myself as children are running about since there is no school today. They are free to play and run being free wolves. I have to stop in my tracks as I find Wolf playing along with the children, allowing them to dog pile onto him giving horse back rides. I laugh at the scene and come closer leaning onto a tree watching. He finds me and smiles and soon I let the children know he will be right back, they all give a faces but resume back to play as Wolf joins me by the trees sliding into a slant imitating me.

“So how did it go?”

I give a grim smile since he knows already but I tell him tugging my coat tighter as the breeze slides by, forgetting the warmth isn’t here as it is at Pacific Rim.

“Shall we walk?” he suggests and takes my hand. I oblige and we walk along the sea back crumpling over nature. But it tunes out as we talk. There is only the occasionally bell rings from the distance boats.

“It went well” I start off taking a breath, “I accepted the job so no I need to prepare some teaching… I hope this all goes well” I sigh and kick a large rock away randomly.

I hear Wolf smils and I turned to him, he has a smile, but why?

I guess we will both see how this decision pans out, definitely will be interesting one, but hey,” stops us and faces me, “least we can still see Elektra and can still raise her… something Madam never got.” He reminds me softly.

I give him a look but I know he is right, so I pull him to continue us walking as now we are on the grass mass area that would soon lead to the cliff, our steps sooner cease to crunching leaves. They now were little quiet.

“Since we are talking about decisions, what are your thoughts on Alice and Junior…attending the international school of Pacific Rim…meaning they are close to Elektra as well,” I hold my breath to his response.

HE stops but keeps looking out, “you do realize, they will be in a boarding school and will only live with us during the summers… also what wrong with the school here?” Wolf speaks the words carefully, making sure I know what I am asking. He turns to me as I do process the words.

Yes I dd understand, meaning they would be closer to Elektra and if Madam is right about this dark forces, shouldn’t we be hiding all our children considering they stay with Madam when we go the battle. Seemed logical, but another idea seemed that come or Madam wad ripping this family apart.

I gazed up at Wolf, his pleading eyes studying me wondering what my answer will be.

“Yes, I do realize that and I believe a international education, protecting and they can still celebrate full moon festivals and come home on the weekend to visit. Don’t worry I thought this through.”

He cocks his eyebrows already doubting my choice of the last words. “have you really?” harmless face, but he was not joking but serious.

“Yes, I have, better education, world wide knowledge, protection and they can visit Elektra,” I stare up at Wolf and he stares down. He closes his eyes and comes in closer leaning over me.

“Did you make it a final decision?” he whispers.

“No.”

He joins our hands and kisses me on the forehead, “let me think and we make a final decision together.”

“Deal.” I breathed.

And we continued to stroll by the sea towards the gate cliffs with silence between us. A lot of decisions will be made in the next couple days, it now all depends on the impact they serve.

We continuously watch the open sea below as a few fishermen either ride or float in their boats. Letting the sea take a calmness. They were in peace, all their worry washes away. The wind only picked up a bit whipping my hair around making it seem gravity was nothing, as if it would not exist. The breeze was awakening but no truly. There is something beyond that I cannot reach.
