Lucifer looked at him.

“Second baby?” He questions confused and directed his focus on me.

Valentine Winters P.O.V

I smiled slightly as him, nodding.

The doctor went over to carry the first baby where he kept him in the cradle at the side of the room, wrapped up in a white towel.

He slowly neared Lucifer, showing him the baby while Lucifer facial expression changed instantly as he had a look of admiration.

Lucifer took the baby from the doctor’s arms and cradled him in his.

“It’s a boy.” I whispered to Lucifer.

“He has your brown eyes.” Lucifer noted while leaning down to plant a soft kiss on my forehead whilst cradling the baby in his arms.

I felt my contractions begin once more as I started whimpering in pain again.

Lucifer caught my expression.

I do not know how I gave birth to the first baby but knowing I had to push a second time got me afraid just imagining of the aching that I have to endure.

Using his speed, Lucifer placed the baby back down gently in the cradle before standing beside me once more.

His speed seemed somewhat anomalous though. Was it normally like that since before?

I started screaming in pain once more, feeling my heartbeat accelerate, trying to push another baby out.

I held Lucifer’s hand tightly, not caring if I was scratching and squeezing it firmly.

“I can’t.” I cried leaning my head back onto the pillow while my legs were trembling.

“Valentine.” Lucifer says sternly as he looked at me.

“You need to push our baby now.′ Lucifer spoke strictly.

I wailed as I started pushing once more, never letting go of Lucifer’s hand, hearing him let out a sharp grunt and wince from how tightly I was squeezing his hand.

“You did this to me!” I shouted at him, furiously.

“We did it together.” He huffed under his breath as I glared at him.

“Push.” He orders and I screamed pushing our second baby out.

Feeling exhausted I let my back and the back of my head to hit the bed behind me, exhaling aloud.

The doctor held onto the baby.

“Do you want to cut the umbilical cord?” The doctor asks Lucifer.

Lucifer narrowed his eyes at him.

“No.” He shook his head, looking at the doctor weirdly to why he was asking him to cut it.

“Never-mind” The doctor utters and cuts it before wrapping the baby in another white towel.

I let go of Lucifer’s hand and he went over to carry the baby as the doctor passed the baby to him.

“It’s a girl.′ The doctor spoke.

A girl?

Lucifer held the baby in his arms.

“I want to see her.” I said.

Lucifer brought her near me and placed her on my arms. Her face looked so squishy and pink.

She slowly opened her eyes while Lucifer held onto the back of her head for further support as her had was still so little in his hand.

“And she has your eyes.” I told to Lucifer as I saw her having Lucifer’s lovely icy blue ones.

I felt myself feeling a bit drowsy, I needed the rest. I could not feel my limbs but the throbbing sensation that circulated my whole figure.

“Oh no you don’t” Lucifer alerts from beside me. He carries our baby from my arms passing her back to the doctor to tend into them.

“You need to get up.” He snaked his hand at the back of my neck to pull me up.

“I can’t.” I whimpered.

My body was too fatigued to do anything, let alone walk after giving birth to twins.

“I know but there’s no time, baby girl. We need to leave now.” He says gently pulling my upper body up.

Lucifer Zades P.O.V

I could not do this by myself.

I do not know how I could carry her and also take my babies with me at the same time.

‘I found Valentine.’ I mind-link to Gabriel.

‘But I need help.’ I called.

‘Where are you?’ He asks.

‘Inside, but I’ll be out in a while.’ I told.

I turned to the doctor.

“Can we trust you to help us?” I asked him.

He looked away from a moment.

“I’ll try the best I can.” He speaks.

I then faced Valentine. I understand that she’s exhausted but I needed her cooperation in this. I cannot save everyone by myself.

“You need to stand up and walk.” I told her.

I helped her up to sit down on the bed.

“Try standing up, okay?” I observed her while she nodded her head.

She slowly stood up from the bed, at first, she was a bit unsteady. She closed her eyes for a moment to regain herself.

Her wolf healing should be kicking in by now.
