Chapter 34 Offhand Vengeance

Recap:

“Well, I didn’t see her at the packhouse.” I really don’t remember seeing her there but at the same time I did not really spend much time there to notice if she was.

“It’s alright, I caught her scent, she’s here, and she’s hurt.” Gabriel says before quickly transforming into his white wolf and running towards her scent.

Adamone Levi P.O.V

“There’s something showing on your computer screen.” Evelyn suddenly says as I kept my eyes glued on the babies, knowing if anything goes wrong, my neck was on the line.

I raised an eyebrow at her before going over to the driver’s seat, barely caring that I was naked in front of her. Not like she hasn’t seen all this glory before.

From the corner of my eyes, I could see her cheeks turn red as a blush appeared.

Cute.

Adam, focus. I snapped myself back on the current situation ahead.

“Oh no.” I spoke.

“Someone is challenging my programme.” I stated.

I’m not the only one who has computer hacking capabilities here, there’s another out there.

Someone on the enemy side.

The wolfsbane weapons are back to being activated.

“Keep an eye on the babies, I have my work cut out for me.” I directed Evelyn.

Lilith Ra P.O.V

I got shot in the shoulder by one of the hunters, making me grunt in pain. It took my system a while to push the bullet out of my body as I snarled at the hunter.

While I was focused on the hunter in front of me, another one shot me from the side towards my thigh.

This bullet was however not the ordinary one. It was coated in wolfsbane.

Shit.

I cried out as my legs failed to keep up, resulting me to fall on the ground, the poison was too strong to withhold, it was spreading into my body quickly as black blood starting oozing down.

The two hunters encircled me as I growled at them menacingly.

The hunter with the wolfsbane gun aimed the gun at me ready to shoot, but before he could, Gabriel came to my rescue as he pounced on the hunter and bit his head of his shoulders, throwing his head away, his blood splashed all over my fur.

Another hunter panicked as he kept shooting at Gabriel as he kept nearing him threateningly, but due to his alpha bloodline, his healing was much faster.

The bullets in his gun had finished and before anything, Gabriel locked his canines onto the hunter’s body, shaking him before throwing him back down as blood oozed all over from his body, and his mouth.

‘Are you okay?’ Gabriel neared me mind-linking.

He looked like he was about to kill anyone near him as the hair behind his back stood up in fury.

I looked at my thigh where the bullet was shot, before turning to face him.

‘No.’ I stated honestly, looking into his wolf’s eyes holding deep concern.

Valentine Winters P.O.V

“The guns are activated again.” One of the hunters acknowledged the monster standing in front of me.

One of the hunters tossed the doctor that helped me to the front, making him fall onto the ground hard.

“A deceiver in my house.” The monster stated before taking a gun and shooting him in the head without any warning.

My breathing accelerated as I was shocked by the sudden scene that was held in front of me.

“No.” I whispered under my breath as tears started brimming in the corner of my eyes.

He died because of me, for me.

“You murderer!” I shouted at him as I bend down over the doctor’s body in front of me.

He would have had a family on his own, waiting for his arrival.

He then pointed the gun towards Lucifer’s head, “I was supposed to take your son away, an eye for an eye for my son being held up in a psychiatric ward and murdering my grandson!”

“My son took care of you, and you betrayed this clan.” He continued.

“What happened was not my fault. He should have just let me go.” Lucifer defended.

“You killed his son!” Achilles bellowed.

“He left me no choice!” Lucifer argued.

Achilles scoffed.

“Everybody has a choice.” Achilles stated.

“I didn’t get the revenge I wanted but nothing will hurt you more than killing her, something I should have done the moment I had my hands on her.” Achilles turned the gun to aim at me and pulled the trigger.

Gabriel Zades P.O.V

I had to make a choice.

Stay and fight or take Lilith back to the packhouse.

I could ask Gabriella to help take Lilith back.

The heck you will. Tend to our fucking mate first. My wolf growled at me.

I pulled Lilith by the skin at the back of her neck where no wolves, vampires or hunters were to be seen.

‘Shift.’ I mind-link to her.

Too weak to protest, she shifted to her human self being completely naked. Her wounds were deep. I did not know it was that bad. The veins in her legs and thigs were sticking out moving closer to her hips.

“Wolfsbane.” She uttered.

Fear and panic started attacking my senses.

‘Mount on me now, and hold on tight.’ I instructed.

I squatted low so she could mount on my wolf, once she was, I took off as fast as my legs could take me, back to the packhouse.

It took me quite a while before I reached, I do not know what was happening back there at the hunter’s realm but I need to tend to my mate as of for now.
