Chapter 37 Ancestors Punishment

I turned to face her, furrowing my eyebrows.

What now?

Valentine Winters P.O.V

So many bodies lay before my eyes.

Most of them I grew up with.

I could not hear anything as I took in the sight in front of me, there was ringing in my ear that seemed to be getting higher and higher by the second.

I could not move.

I could see Lucifer trying to tell me something as he tried to move my frame.

I felt as though I was falling, falling deeper somewhere as I no longer had control over my body.

Something else was taking over my physique.

Gabriel Zades P.O.V

We reached the territory where I lead my mom towards my car where Adam left it.

I saw Adam inside the car still with Evelyn, keeping an eye on the babies being at the back of the car.

“Where are the babies?” My mom asks a completely naked Adam as he was startled by her.

“Shit! Luna.” He attempted to cover his private areas with his laptop feeling embarrassed as my mom rolled her eyes at him.

He pointed towards the back of the car.

My mom carried one of the babies carefully before she instructed me to carry the other one.

“Newborn babies need warmth and they can’t hold their heads, do you know how dangerous it is to just leave them at the back on the car seat?” My mom lectured me and Adam.

I quickly took a hold of the other baby and suddenly the skies turned dark catching all of our attention.

What was happening?

“It’s Valentine.” Adam utters under his breath as he was focused on something.

My mom and I looked over to see where the skies were circling onto and a body was floating up, away from the ground.

Valentine’s body.

Lucifer was holding onto her hand, refusing to let her go any higher.

“What’s happening?” I asked my mom.

“She got her mother’s gifts.” My mom said while still having her attention on Valentine.

“Somethings not right. The ancestors are angry. She should not have been having them before her 18th birthday.” My mom says.

The wind was starting to get strong around us.

Lucifer Zades P.O.V

‘Lucifer, let her go.’ My father, Zades instructed me but I could not. Just when I have her, she is always taken away from me.

Why is this always happening?

‘Please son, trust me.’ He speaks.

I closed my eyes, clenching my jaw before letting her go.

All the leftover old and young hunters were astounded to what was happening, looking at their surrounding while some ran.

Her body was quite high above the ground as her hair was soaring from the strong wind that rapidly appeared and her eyes glowed white.

All the wolves began to howl, one by one, bowing under her figure in respect and fear.

“The balance of the worlds has been tampered with.” Valentine spoke or was it even her as multiple voices could be heard as opens her mouth.

Her eyebrows were furrowed in anger as she looked at the hunters.

“You have innocent lives blood on your hands, my family’s blood.” She snarled furiously.

“For that, all of you will pay.” The voices promised.

Valentine then faced up the sky where a full moon was beaming at the stratosphere. Our surroundings became dark except for the light the moon was projecting.

“By the power vested by the moon goddess, we curse every one of the hunters to turn into wolves.” She then bestowed.

All the hunters started screaming and shouting in pain as their bones began to crack and fur started sprouting their figures.

“This is not fair! The young hunters did nothing!” I protested angrily.

“Hush!” She shouted with all the voices combined looking at me.

My wolf whimpered inside of me, asking me to submit to her or them as he calls.

I turned to see that all of the hunters had already transformed into wolves as their punishment, even Devon and the Warrior brothers.

She then gestured her hand and rain started falling down from the sky wetting the forest where all the fire from before had been put out.

How was she doing all this?

Her attention later dropped onto the wolf and vampires bodies that lied on the ground where some were lifeless while others were unconscious and she lifted her hand hovering over them.

“Heal the ones with a beating heart and rest those who don’t.” She instructs.

The wolves and vampires that were injured and unconscious were all stirring up as their wounds were being healed while those that didn’t was sure to be dead.

Valentine closes her eyes as everything was about to be over when a vampire from afar came rushing with his speed in front of her.

“Wait!” He says and all eyes fell on him including Valentine’s glowing ones as he was holding onto a girl bridal-style as he did so.

“Please.” He cried, kneeling down while placing a lifeless vampire woman onto the ground.

“She’s my heart, I can’t live without her. Please bring her back.” He begged.

“She’s far too gone, child.” Valentine speaks.

“No!” He shouts.

“There should be something you can do!” He pleads.

Valentine then looks up to the moon goddess before facing them once more.

“There’s one thing I can do.” She smiled.

Valentine slowly reached the ground and slowly walked towards their figures before touching the woman’s head.

“Second life, but as a wolf.” She mutters under her breath.

The wounds of the woman healed and while the woman stirred awakening, Valentine on the other hand had her eyes going back to her natural chocolate brown ones.

She groaned about to fall to the ground from being weak and I instantly caught her with my speed, carrying her bridal style.
