Willie was filled with anger but had no outlet for it. He glared furiously at Max. Max, noticing Willie’s look, understood that Willie blamed him for aiding Gina in bringing Chuck to justice. Willie’s anger was understandable.
Whatever punishment Willie decided for him, Max was ready to accept it.
“Miss Miller! May I have a word with you?” Faith asked as she entered the living room. She had been listening in the hallway and knew the whole story.
