Olivia observed Ethan’s hesitation and decided to cut to the chase. “Mr. Jackson, I’ll leave the debt settlement to you. No need for further discussion. Goodbye” 

With that, Olivia turned and departed with effortless grace. 

Ethan’s gare lingered on her departing figure, his eyes simmering with resentment.

Setting his business aside momentarily. Ethan headed straight for Harry’s residence. 

Upon entering. Ethan couldn’t contain his agitation. “Harry, we’re in trouble!” 

Harry was leisurely sipping his coffee, pleased with the smooth operation of the all–in–one medical examination machine project. His mood was upbeat. 

Setting down his cup. Harry advised calmly. “Ethan, you’re a successful man now–no need to get all worked up over things. Understand? Stay calm and collected.”

Ethan knew he couldn’t arrange a direct meeting with Gina, so he intercepted her at Prover Hospital. 

Under normal circumstances, Ethan might not have been able to catch Gina. Still, luckily, she had been busy setting up

Gina was taken aback and found it somewhat amusing. She remarked sarcastically, “Rekindled your romance! Well, congratulations. You two certainly seem well–suited for each other.” 

Ethan seethed with frustration. How could that wretched Olivia ever be considered his equal? Yet, he refrained from contradicting Gina. “We haven’t reconciled, so don’t jump to conclusions. Anyway, I’ve settled her debt, and that’s the end of it” 

Gina didn’t say much, simply accepting the check. 

With a weight off his shoulders, Ethan could finally depart! 

He turned swiftly, leaving the scene and hopping into his car, 

As Gina held the check, she pondered. Ethan’s willingness to assist Olivia with her debt couldn’t possibly signal a rekindling of their romance. 

It was more likely that Olivia had some leverage over Ethan. 

As for what that leverage might be, Gina wasn’t interested for now. 

She pocketed the check, preparing to leave, when suddenly she heard Dylan’s voice, “Gina!” 

Gina paused. 

She turned back.. 

Dylan hurried over to her. 

*I’ve got something to share with you,” Dylan said, pausing briefly. “I’ve managed to uncover how Shawn persuaded those experts to join him fervently in the artificial seed palace project.” 

Gina hadn’t asked Dylan about this investigation, wary of putting him in a difficult position between her and the Thomas family. Yet, Dylan had taken it upon himself to uncover the truth.

Since Dylan already had the information, Gina saw no reason to avoid the conversation. 

“Shawn informed them that he’d hired Dr. Genevieve to lead the project.” 

Dylan was momentarily stunned. The fact that Shawn had managed to deceive those experts and that it involved
