A sigh leaves my mouth as I remove my clothes and change into more comfy clothes. Theo watches me as I put on my top.

I raise my brow at him in question, but he doesn’t say anything. He wraps his arms around me and picks me up bridal style.

“Oh.” He takes me to the bed and places me on it and gets on top of me.

I smile, shaking my head. “Not happening. I’m tired and my b*dy needs to rest,” I say.

I pull my phone out and click a picture of them. They don’t know that I’m taking a picture.

I open Theo’s message box to text him. He was home an hour ago. He got a call. He left without saying a word. I thought he would call me to let me know what was happening, but nothing.

We planned to do Thea’s shopping in the afternoon, and now it’s 2 p.m.

I type the message and send it to him.

I keep the phone to a side and watch Thea, who is fixing the blocks while Mic k guides her.

My phone pings as I receive a text. I open the message box to see Theo’s message.

I send the text and wait for him.

Time passes before Theo walks into the playroom. Mic k and Sherry stand up from the ground.

“Good afternoon, Mr. Jefferson.” Mic k and Sherry say.

“Good afternoon.”

“Hi, Papa.” Thea says, hugging his legs. He pats her head before lifting her in his arms.

“What are you doing?”

“I’m making a building with blocks. Mic k and Sherry are helping me.” Thea says.

“What did I say that day? Don’t call Mic k and Sherry by name.” Theo says gently.

“Sorry, I forgot. I call them Uncle Mic k and Aunty Sherry.” Thea says.

“Okay.” Theo k*sses her forehead before placing her down. Then his gaze meets mine.

I stand up from the chair, picking up my phone and bag. Thea goes back to her blocks.

“Take care of her, give her food after an hour.” I tell Sherry. I smile at them before following Theo.

Theo’s phone starts ringing. He answers the call and speaks with another person while I simply

follow him.

The phone call continues until we reach the entrance. He must be busy with his business calls.

“If you are busy, we can postpone.” I say, placing my hand on Theo’s arm.

“No, we don’t have to postpone, and I’m done with my calls,” he says, placing his hand on my head.

“You sure? You won’t be getting any calls while we’re in the boutique?”

“No.”

“Okay.”

He opens the car door and I get inside. I buckle my seatbelt. Theo gets in, buckles his seatbelt.

“How far is the boutique from here?” Theo asks.

“Twelve miles.”

“You only need to get a dress?”

I smile at him happily while he shakes his head. “You make me do things that I thought I would

never do.”

We stay for a bit of time before leaving. We reach the boutique in twenty minutes. I smile looking at the boutique.

“Let’s go. They must be waiting for us,” I say, holding Theo’s hand.

“They must be waiting for us?”

“Yeah, we had to make the appointment. I took the appointment and they are waiting.”

As soon as we enter the store. I feel like I transform into a different world. A world full of dresses. Two hours pass with me searching for the perfect dress and sandals for Thea.

I smile at her nodding my head. I didn’t feel the need to correct her. Theo comes holding two different flats in his hand.

“How about these two? I like them both. They’re comfy and simple.”

I look at the flats that he is holding. “They are good. We will get both pairs.”

“Hmm.”

We spend another thirty minutes in the boutique for Thea’s jewelry and then leave to talk with birthday planners.

While I was deciding on Thea’s dress, Theo did his research and found the birthday planners and fixed a meeting with them, and now we are going there to discuss the birthday decor.
