Chapter 11 Mariana Can’t Be Left Alone
This time, they went to a barbecue stand on the street behind the university.
Alexis asked, “Are there any girls?”
Pearce said, “Do I look like a girl to you?
“He spent more than 700 dollars and earned three points, and he’s generous enough to ask you to have a barbecue. Be grateful. What else do you want?”
Alexis patted his chest. “The next time will be on me.”
No one responded.
They were speechless.
They wondered that if what Alexis said was true, they’d have to flee with the excuse of having to pee again.
They spent dozens of dollars on skewers and had a dozen beers.
Before eating, Pearce’s phone rang. It was Chelsea.
“What are you doing? Why don’t you text me back?”
Worried that Kent might have to spend money again, Pearce lied. “I was in the shower. What’s up?”
“I’m hungry.”
Pearce said nothing.
Kent didn’t care. “Invite her over. She’s a girl. How much can she eat?”
Pearce didn’t get a chance to say anything, and Chelsea had already heard Kent’s voice. “You guys are out there again?”
Kent snatched the phone. “We’re on the street behind the university. Come over. Pearce ordered your favorite sausage.”
Now that Chelsea was about to come over, they figured that they might as well invite Stephanie, too.
Alexis was furious. “Fuck! What about the no-girlfriend deal? I’ll call Paola.”
Greyson said nothing. Rebecca and he hadn’t made their relationship public yet, and she preferred to remain low profile.
After all, she had just rejected Ronnie in a high-profile way, and Ronnie would hate Greyson if he knew she was with Greyson. Ronnie’s stock kept going down, and now he didn’t even have a girlfriend
Soon, Chelsea showed up with a girl.
Seeing them, Chelsea greeted, “Well, well! You’ve been enjoying yourselves every day.”
Pearce said, “He’s just making the best of things.”
“What do you mean?” Chelsea was confused.
Greyson explained, “Our Prince of Finance has earned three points today, dozens of dollars in total, since he started trading in the stock market. He is now defiant.”
Chelsea felt speechless for a second. Then she said, “Now I’m too embarrassed to order ”
Kent said, “Don’t Ignore them.”
Chelsea asked Pearce, “What about you? Are you still trading stocks?”
Pearce shook his head non-stop. “My hands are off that thing.”
Meanwhile, Stephanie and Paola Belloc showed up.
They ordered some extra skewers for about dozens of dollars.

Chelsea looked at her roommate, the girl she had been telling Greyson about:
The girl’s name was Mariana Warner. She was indeed pretty, but she didn’t talk much.
It was said that beautiful women came from Westerville. No one present was prettier than Mariana
Mariana was probably one of the best looks on campus.
And she wasn’t short. She was 1.65 meters in fact.
When seeing her, Alexis checked her out countless times.
The funny thing was, when Chelsea brought her here, Chelsea didn’t introduce her to everyone, and Chelsea didn’t even mention her name.

Alexis looked at him angrily. “Fuck! You indeed know how to play favorites!”
Greyson ignored him and thought, “Don’t blame me. You of all people should know the reason.”
When Kent came to pay the bill, he was told that it had been paid already.
He threw a cigarette to Greyson. “Who told you to pay? You look down upon me?
“I finally had a chance to show off in front of my girlfriend, and you stole the thunder.”
Everyone laughed.
Pearce said, “Let’s go. He’s pushing his luck.”
His relationship with Chelsea was kind of simple now, and they did nothing more out of line than hold hands. Therefore, they didn’t have any special plans after dinner.

Everyone was about to go their separate ways.
“Mariana, what do you think of Greyson?”
On the way back to the dorm, Chelsea asked.
Mariana smiled, “He’s OK.”
She was dragged here today by Chelsea. Chelsea claimed that everyone in the dorm had a boyfriend, and Mariana couldn’t be left alone.
Mariana said that she didn’t want a relationship, but she had to accept Chelsea’s kindness.
Therefore, Mariana wanted Chelsea to give her some time to check Greyson out before introducing them.
If her impression of him was good, she may consider going further with him. If she didn’t like him at all, there was no need for Chelsea to introduce them.
The two girls had reached an agreement, so Chelsea couldn’t wait to ask her about her opinion.
Although Paola was not in the same dorm with them, after spending time with them a few times, Paola became familiar with them.
Hearing that Chelsea wanted to set Mariana up with Greyson, Paola said straightforwardly, “I heard from Alexis that Greyson’s family is very poor, so I suggest you be more cautious, Mariana.”
Chelsea said, “I don’t think his family background matters. What matters is that he treats you nicely.
“I know Greyson pretty well. Though he doesn’t come from a very good family, he’s a very righteous man.
“Yet you, Paola, you’ve been with Alexis for a long time. I hear he’s pretty unreliable. You should be careful.”
“I hear the same thing, too. He likes to take advantage of girls,” Stephanie echoed.
Hearing their comments about Alexis, Paola said nothing.
Naturally, she wasn’t happy.
Chelsea continued, “If I were you, I’d prefer Greyson to Alexis.
“I hear him say openly several times that Greyson is poor.”
Hearing that they were quarreling, Mariana joked, “Chelsea, you defend Greyson so much. Are you interested in him?”
“Nonsense!
“Pearce is so great. Why would I be interested in Greyson?
“I’m just worried about Paola. I don’t want her to be fooled.”
The girls talked and laughed all the way back to the dorm.
Meanwhile, Kent asked, “How much is the meal tonight, Greyson? I’ll transfer the money to you.”
“Get out of here. Perhaps someday when you catch the raising limit.”
Kent said, “Damn it! Are you underestimating me?
“To tell you the truth, I’ve already got an online loan of 1,600 dollars. I’ll scale in soon.”
Greyson was shocked
He jumped up right away. “Are you crazy? How dare you get an online
loan?
“Pay the money back now!”
He thought, “You dumb fuck! You borrowed money online to buy stocks!”
Yet Kent didn’t care. “Relax. I know what I’m doing.”
Pearce panicked. “Fuck! Pay the money back tomorrow!”
Kent didn’t listen. He was determined to use the money he borrowed to get more.
Seeing how stubborn Kent was, Greyson was worried.
Kent might not end up well.
