Chapter 87 

After that, Annabelle found excuses for herself. She was afraid that Lucas would be like Elizabeth and refused to watch Noah’s movie because Noah was their brother. 

She had already made up her mind. If Lucas did not want to go, she would throw a tantrum and make him. 

However, in the evening. Lucas called her and asked her to pack up. He would pick her up later. 

When Annabelle asked him what he wanted, Lucas didn’t say anything. He just told her to pack up.

Annabelle was speechless. She did not do anything wrong after all, but Elizabeth still criticized her. 

After spending time together in the past few days, Annabelle was no longer afraid of Elizabeth. Even if Elizabeth disturbed her, she would only think that Elizabeth was joking with her. She would not take it seriously, nor would she feel wronged. If she did not feel wrong, she would not cry.

Annabelle was pregnant, so it was not easy for Lucas to carry her on his back. Lucas could only carry her in his arms. 

When Annabelle heard this, he could not help but laugh. “I don’t know where we’re going yet. We might have something important to do!” 

Susan thought to herself, “What kind of serious matter requires a pregnant woman? She’s still young and inexperienced.”

Lucas returned very quickly. When he saw that Annabelle had packed up, he could not help but raise his eyebrows. 

“Is my outfit too casual?” Annabelle quickly asked when he saw him like this. “Do you want to change? It’ll be quick!” 

“No need. This is good!” Lucas said. He held her hand, told his family, and prepared to leave. 

When they reached the door, Lucas did not forget to help Annabelle put on her down jacket. She wrapped her scarf around her and put on her gloves, making her look even more exquisite and cute. 

“But where are we going?” Annabelle was still thinking. If it weren’t important, or if they had enough time, could they go to the cinema to watch a movie?

However, Lucas did not give her an answer at all. 

The car left the villa area and sped towards the city. Finally, it stopped at the entrance of a restaurant. 

Annabelle was speechless. 

Annabelle looked at Lucas in disbelief. Did this man call her out to have a meal? 

Annabelle’s eyes sparkled. Was this considered a date? 

With that thought in mind, Annabelle couldn’t help but smile. 

“What are you laughing at?” Lucas walked over and helped her out of the car. “You look like a fool!” 

Annabelle was stunned. Lucas did not know how to speak nicely. Hmph, on account of him bringing her out for a meal, she would not argue with him. 

Lucas led her into the restaurant. As soon as they entered, a waiter led them to the seat they had reserved earlier. From afar, Annabelle saw a large bouquet of pink roses on the dining table. 

“How did you know that I like pink roses?” The flower was stuffed into Annabelle’s arms. Annabelle hugged the pink roses and looked at Lucas with a surprised and happy expression. 

Lucas glanced at her. Was it really strange about him knowing such an obvious thing? 

Although his expression was unsatisfactory, Annabelle was still in a good mood. 

What a pleasant surprise! 

However, the surprise that Lucas prepared was not limited to this! 

When she was brought to the cinema, Annabelle was truly shocked. 

“What made you think of bringing me to watch the movie?” Annabelle hugged the flowers and looked at Lucas with bright eyes.

She had never liked someone so much that her heart melted. 

“I’m your husband. If you don’t like me, who else do you want to like?” Lucas smiled smugly. He was clearly in a good mood, but he was so arrogant. that he refused to admit it.
