Lorena POV

“Begin your journey from here,” one out of the five guards accompanying us announced as we reached the entrance of the forest. The forest surrounded the arena but I knew that it was going to be deeper than I believed it to be.

“alright,” we all responded as we were given a tag each. Since the future Luna queen and I had the same color, they each gave us a purple tag with our names imprinted on it. Unlike mine which only have my name, Angelica’s name had a crown beside it and I envied her the more. She was lucky to be recognized as the future Luna while I have to fight for position with other girls.

Sad but it was my reality.

Once we've gotten our name tags, a weapon was each handed over to us, in my case, I got an arrow, Danielle also got an arrow. Two of the concubine Halie and Talita got a dagger while angelica and Rebekah were lucky to get swords.

“what are we supposed to use this for?” Rebekah asked as she swing the sword at Danielle.

“not at me!” Danielle shouted at her. “you were asked to use the sword for any danger not for you to stab me on the face!” Danielle said and scoffed rubbed her manicure fingers on the arrows.

“you mean we are going to meet with danger in the forest?” the look of horror on Halita's face made me laughed so hard thz I exchanged looks with Angelica and she joined me in laughing too. “what is so funny that is making you laugh like this!” she scoffed and folded her arms.

Angelica and I exchanged looks again and burst into laughter. I rolled my eyes and pretend to stare at one of the trees while was trying so hard to stop laughing. “this is also for you."

The guards each handed over to us a bag and when I stared inside of the bag pack, I could see clothes and wasted no time into bringing it out to check the kind of clothes that it was. It was a camouflage pant and a black crop top. I heaved a sigh when I stretched the clothes and realized that they were stretchy and unlike the tight clothes given to us.

“Anew clothe?” Danielle exclaimed. “what happened to the one that we are wearing?” she asked.

I knew that there was no way she would find fault with the tight cloth since it shows her boobs.

“if you find no issue with the clothes that is almost ruining our organs than I have no idea on what to say about you!” I told her and she started muttering words that I couldn't heard but it was none of my business as long as I couldn't hear her whining.

“The time frame for the hunting is only four hours and once that is over and you haven't found anything then your time is up;” the leader of the guards announced to us.

Rebekah chuckled and rubbed her hair gently. “how are they supposed to know that?” she asked and looked around. “it's not as if there is a camera watching us right now; she said and that was correct as I also looked around us to see if there was any camera around but I found none.

The guard raised a device in his hand bearing resemblance to the name tag in our hand. “This starts as soon as you are dressed and moved into the forest,” he answered and placed his thumb on the face of the tag. It started reading a countdown and I stared at the name tag in my hand. “you all should Start your timer now!” he ordered. Just as he had done it, we all placed our thumbs on the tag and it started reading in hours.

“we have four hours to begin!” Halie shouted and rushed into the forest looking for where to change her outfit. Angelica and I exchanged looks and also walk away from the guards but I could hear as Danielle was lamenting about the choice of cloth. Apparently, she didn't like the clothe given to us.

That was her business because I liked it.

Once angelica and I were alone, we changed into the outfit. A purple camouflage trouser and a black crop that wasn't tight. I heaved a sigh of relief when I realized that I could breathe perfectly without having to curse at Fenrir. “all done,” I placed the head band around my head and packed my hair in a ponytail style. I slid my arrows and bow around me.

“me too," Angelica announced and held her sword up. “to treasure hunting!” she raised her sword.

“To treasure hunting!” I chuckled and grabbed her stretched hand as we both walked towards the rest of the girls that were gathered around dressed beautifully in their different group colors. Danielle and Rebekah got the green camouflage while Halie and Talita got the cream color camouflage. They all murmured amongst themselves as they admired each other except from Danielle who didn't look too happy about her outfit. It was a perfect outfit for her but because she wanted to expose her body, she didn't like the outfit and frowned as if the world was against her.

“now that you all are together,” the guard paused and looked at our faces. “since you all are ready and your time is reading, the destiny of your partner depends on both of you. One of would be removed today if you don't find the jewelry. Goodluck to you all" he said and turned to life but stopped when Danielle called for his attention.

“yes, lady Danielle” he answered.

“can I get a change of clothes?” she requested.

The guard shook his head and walked away. “why can't I get what I want?” she groaned in frustration.

“This outfit is far better than what you wore the other time so stop complaining” I told her and she turned to face me frowning and clenching her fists as if she wanted to fight me. Angelica came in between us and grabbed my hand.

“yes,” she heaved a deep sigh. “if I am going to be queen then I need to know about the humans.”
