I could smell him as he walked in. He smelled of rotten flesh and I knew he was one of us. We were the outcast and forbidden ones.

It's was the first day of school and I was already having a second thought on why I joined to fight in the war. It's was a choice and not forceful but I kept thinking about why I had joined.
