Alaric POV

I was dreaming and I couldn't recognize anyone in the dream. They were unfamiliar but they kept chatting in one voice. “We are coming for vengeance!” That's was what they kept chanting. They all looked lifeless and most of them were missing a hand or head. They looked like the army of the dead. “We are coming for vengeance!” They chanted.

I woke up with a gasp and rose from my bed. Beads of sweat trailed down my face and a headache set in. I ran a hand through my hair and stood up from the bed.

I needed answers to these questions but the only person I could call was my father which I did. “The dream seems real dad. “Explain it in details Son,” My father said over the phone.

The walk towards professor Layla's class was in silence as we had nothing else to say and the dream I had kept showing up i my head.

I glared at her but didn't say anything. I balled my hands into fists and walked to an empty chair opposite show. Instead of arguing with her, I turned towards Professor Layla that had walked into the classroom.

“Welcome everyone," Professor Layla smiled at everyone. “From the heads, I'm seeing here, the remaining students must be in other classes I believe” She said and we all chorused with a yes. “Great. Let's start” She began.

One by one they all stood up to introduce themselves. “I am Derek, son-of

“I'am Kamil, son of Lord Franco," a boy with blue hair stood up and waved at everyone. “I hope we all succeed in ending the war. The humans wouldn't want to become slaves all over again,” he joked but I didn't find it funny.

“What a pointless joke,” Okie clicked her tongue. “I wonder how we would fight a war with this bunch of fools,” she groaned out in frustration and slapped her on the desk.

The students continued introducing themselves until it got to our turn.

“Hello everyone. I'm Katherine,” Katherine stood up and bowed her head.

“Iam lan” lan stood up to introduce himself. He flexed his muscles and winked at some girls that were staring at him. “Hello everyone. I am Tania’ Tania bowed her head.

“Hello, I'm Okie” Okie didn't bother standing up as she introduced herself.

I wonder where she got her bratty attitude from. When it's got to my turn, I stood up and bowed my head. ” I am Wek" I introduced and sat down.

The introduction continues until it got to the turn of Snow and his angel friend.

The introduction continued and lasted on a red-haired girl. “Hello everyone.’

She flipped her red hair. “I am Dani she jumped and squealed. “It's so great to be here!” She shouted.

“What the hell is wrong with her?" Tania asked.

“She must be happy to be here," Katherine answered.

“All I see is a girl that is happy to die” Okie clicked her tongue and folded her arms together. “There is nothing to be happy “about when you are fighting a war.” She added. From her facial expressions and the lifting of her brows, I could tell that she wasn't happy at all.

Doesn't she want to fight in the war? Was she doing this because she is trying to show off it was it because of me?

“What?” Okie asked as she caught me staring at her.

“Nothing” I cleared my throat and looked away.

“Nice to meet you all. Let's begin now."professor Layla cleared her throat and the next word she said made my heart jump. “I'l need you all to shot me what you got and also show the class." She said.

Everyone began to murmur about their powers and good they were. I turned towards Snow who was talking to Icarius with a serious face. She had the look of someone that saw a ghost and when her eyes landed on mine, she smiled at me.

I cleared my throat and looked away. Her smile was enough to melt a frozen heart.

“I'l like the witches to come forward please?” Professor Layla requested.

About Twenty witches walked to the front of the class forming a long line.

“Here is what you'll do for me. ” professor Layla pointed up to the white bulbs in the ceilings. she snapped her lingers and al the light went off.

“simple,” the red-haired girl known as Dani walked looked Up, and snapped her fingers. The lights came on and everyone applauded her.

“Thank you,” she bowed and walked back to her seat. Other witches do theirs and while some succeeded, some failed. Among those who failed was Samantha snow’s friend. After snapping her hands multiple times, the lights refuse to turn on. “Okay, you may all go back to your seat, ” professor Layla requested.

“Although some of you tried and failed, you weren't focused. As witches, we don't need spells all the time especially when we are in danger. All we need is to speak from our minds and channel our energy into them. So to all of you that failed, try it when you get back to your hostels,

Everyone applauded her and she smiled and waved. “Angels, please come forward.” She ordered.

I turned to look at Snow whose facial expression had changed into a look of horror. Icarius whispered into her ears and helped her on her feet. They both walked to the front of the classroom. “Angels,” professor Layla called.

There were about fifteen angels at the front of the class and they all looked fragile except for Icarius who had muscles in the right place.

“How are they going to fight in the battle when they look like this?” Okie pointed out. “I just hope they don't ruin it for us." That's was just her jealous side talking. The angels were known as powerful beings and I believed we all could win the war together. “Spread your wings, Angels!” professor Layla ordered.

They all did as told and spread their wings.

“Wow!” Tania exclaimed.

“Their wings look magical,” she commented.

Yes, they all looked magical, especially Snow who had her head down and her tiny wings flapping behind her. No wonder they say that the angels are the most beautiful.
