Megan.

This was not happening. How can my father be an Alpha and I knew that he was just a human like me. I thought that he left mum and I so that he could marry another woman. This was surely a fat joke. I knew that he was not telling me the truth.

“I know you think am not telling you the truth but you are wrong. Indeed your father sent me to get you when he heard that you were staying in this pack.”

“Why would my father promise me to you while I do not know you and also am not your mate?”

“You see your father asked for protection from my pack since his pack is smaller and not that strong as mine, so I offered him protection in exchange that he gives me something valuable to him. Since his pack was small and had nothing to offer me, he ended up offering you to me as the price and am not at all disappointed. Oh you are so beautiful. Just imagine how beautiful our pups will be.” He had now and started to touch my face. Eew I could not bear his touch. It felt disgusting.

“How could he be this heartless, he left my mom and I to suffer alone and now he is marring me off to a person who kills people to get what he want. For your information I will never belong to you. I only belong to Tyler and am already mated to him. You and my father can go to hell for all I care.” I could tell that he was very angry right now.

The prick started to come towards me again. I took a few steps backwards but was soon met with a tree. His claws started to elongate and he scratched my hand which caused blood to shoot from the wound. I cried out in pain and my vision started to blur. He dug into my shoulders again which now caused me to fall down due to the pain of the bite.

“You will come with me either willingly or by force I just don’t care. You are saying that you are mated with Alpha Tyler, I will kill him and your mate bond will be broken thus leaving you without a mate. You are mine Megan Williams and there is no one in this world that will keep me away from you.”

I was crying loudly I could not even hear what he was saying. I was just praying that Tyler would come and save me from this monster. I was losing a lot of blood and when he wanted to touch me again I lost consciousness and fainted. Before I blackout completely I heard him telling his members that he had gotten what he was coming for. That’s when I knew that my life was doomed; he was going to take me away from the love of my life.

I was at the boarder but the wolves that were attacking us were not trying to kill us. They were just aiming at our legs and arms. I was fighting one of the wolf when another one attacked me on my back. I was about to turn but Norman attack the wolf killing it instantly.

That’s when it hit me, had Meg reached the safe house. That’s when I felt a sharp pain on my arms then few seconds later on my shoulders. Meg was in pain. They had reached to her and now they were hurting my baby. I could not take it anymore I just let told Norman to follow me and went to the direction of the safe house.

Hurry mate is in pain. My mate is crying. Shane complained in my head.

I can feel it too Shane. We are going to help her now.

We should have never left her.

Before I could answer him Shane took control and run so fast that I could not believe he could even run like that. Norman was trying to run with our pace but Shane was faster than ever. When I was almost at the safe house I caught her scent and we started to slow down. When we reached the safe house, we found two guards that were to protect the safe house dead at the door. The safe house was closed which meant that they didn’t get inside the safe house.

We started to follow her scent again which was going towards the woods. There were other two different scents that were also going in the same direction which meant that my baby was followed by two other wolves. Her scent was getting strongeras we got deeper to the woods.

I turned and looked at the direction where he was looking at. I saw Meg passed out on their ground and the wolf next to her was trying to lift her up. My blood started to boil in my veins as I imagined his hands all over my princess. My wolf was killing me. We were both possessive of her.

We shifted fast into our human forms and wore some pants that was tied on our legs. We approached them slowly the same way we usually approach a prey for meal.

“Get your motherfucking filthy hands off my woman you moron.” I growled loudly in my Alpha tone.

He looked surprised for a minute then laughed evilly. “Did you just say that she’s yours. Man you are dreaming. You see this beauty right here belongs to me. She’s mine prick you just stole her from me and am here to take what truly belongs to me.”

I smack his face which left him on the ground. I wanted to kill him right there but my mind was else where. I went straight to her and try to comfort her. She had lost a lot of blood and I was seriously worried. I can’t live without her.

“Get Dr. Martin now. Tell him to come to my house immediately.” I didn’t care about that prick. I just saw him get away but I did nothing.

I picked her from the ground and carried her bridal style. I run so fast that I could not even see clearly and also could not feel my legs.

I reached the house and took her inside. She was still unconscious and I knew through the mate bond that we shared I can reduce the pain by being near her.

Shane was running mad. He wanted to be let out so that he could be with her. He just told me that am not taking good care of her like she was supposed to be taken care of.

I placed her on the bed carefully not to hurt her. I wiped the blood on her arm then shoulders. A great anger was building up by just looking at her wounds. Why would someone hurt the most important person in my life. I was the most feared pack in our area and some wolf had the audacity to come and attack my pack then my Luna.

That was the greatest mistake of his life. I will kill that wolf even if it’s the last thing I would do before I die.

The door opened behind me and Norman and Dr. Martin entered the house. “Alpha you called for me.”

“Luna is badly injured and she has lost a lot of blood. Also she’s been unconscious since we found her.”

Martin has been our pack doctor for over 40 years now. He was a great doctor that’s why I knew that Meg was in great hands. He went to her and started to touch her arm where she was injured. I was so possessive of her in that I didn’t want anyone to touch her.

Don’t you dare touch her. Shane spoke with his Alpha voice.

“Calm down man, the doctor is trying to help her.” Norman said and I shot my angry eyes at him and he just kept quiet and looked down.

“Can you please give me privacy with the Luna so I can treat her wounds before she gets an infection.” I knew Martin was right.

Norman and I left the house and went downstairs. It was now around 3 am. I just wish that mum was here. I could not take this anymore. I need my mom to tell me that everything was going to be fine and she was going to get better no matter what.

“Were any of the wolf that were attacking us caught alive.” I turned and faced Norman.

“Yes there is one that is still alive and he is being held at the cells.” Hearing that one of them was at the cells, I started to march out of the house when Norman stopped me.

“Buddy you need to calm down, I know what you are going to do if I let you go to the cells right now. You are going to kill him and it would not lead us anywhere if we don’t know what they want.”

“Am not asking for your permission Norman. You are my Beta and I will do what I want and right now what I want is the blood of that fucking wolf that hurt my mate.” I was already at the porch when he spoke again.

“Is that all that you want. Your mate is upstairs fighting for her life and all you are thinking about right now is revenge. She needs you buddy, she needs that mate bond which will ease her pain not a mate that is absent with an excuse of revenge. Take care of her then when morning comes you will go to the cell and deal with that imbecile.”

“It hurts man. How can someone hurt her and the way she is very innocent. She’s human what if she doesn’t get better. What if her wounds refuse to heal. What am I going to do. I have just found her I can’t lose her now.”

“Relax my boy, she’s going to make it I know she’s a fighter. She was not chosen to be our Luna for nothing.” Martin said as he was descending the stairs.

“How is she doctor.”

“She’s going to be fine. She just needs a lot of rest and in a few days the wounds would be fine. Also I don’t know how this is possible to a human but Luna lost a lot of blood with that wound but right now her blood level is normal.”

“What are you trying to say Martin.” Norman asked.

“What am saying is that Luna has generated blood fast just like us. She might not be a human like we thought but a were wolf like us.”

“But that’s not possible. She could have already shifted.” A normal were wolf shifts for a fast time during their teens. This normally ranges from 13 to 16 years, but Meg was 21years.

“The only explanation I can give is because she has not been living in a pack. For now just take care until she gets better then we will see.” He said that and left the house.

“Let me go and confirm if Neville is ok. He mind linked me earlier asking if Meg was alright since they were attacked before they could get to safety.” Norman said calmly.

“You go to him and keep me posted. Let me go and look after her. I don’t want her to wake up alone.” Norman nodded and turned around and left the house.

I went back upstairs and went straight to the bed. She was still unconscious and I was worried. She should have woken up already. I sat next to her and kissed her forehead. I took her hand and hold it next to my heart.

“Baby just get better for me please. I love you so much and right now all I need is you. Please wake up, I need to see your bright and shiny green eyes and also your beautiful and melodious voice. Please wake up.” I looked at her hand on my chest that’s when I realized that the shirt that Norman gave me was covered with a lot blood from Meg’s wounds my heart broke into many tiny pieces.

I stood up and went direct to the bathroom. I took a quick shower because I didn’t want Meg to be alone for a long time. I slide the glass door open and got out of the bathroom took a towel and wiped my body. Without thinking I got out of the bathroom while the towel was safely placed on my hand and went back to our room.

When the bathroom door opened I expected to be welcomed by a sleeping beauty but instead was welcomed with green shiny eyes. I dropped the towel and went to her.

“Baby you are awake. How are you feeling right now.” She just smiled and looked at me.

“Am fine but am horny right now because my man is sitting next to me totally naked. How do you expect me to feel my love.” I just laughed and kissed her on the cheek.

I stood up and went to the dresser and wore a black short and a tight shirt. I knew that Meg will start to drool when he see’s my perfect packs like she always does.

I went back to our room and found her crying. “What’s wrong baby.”

“They will be back for me. He said that he will never give up on me until he gets me. He was promised that he will have never.”

I was confused. “What promise.”

“I was promised to another man that I was going to be his mate. The man that attacked us today is Alpha Erin of red water pack and I was promised to him by my father.” What the fuck.
