(Selina)

I’m so exciting. Time to finish it after so long! Let’s kill that bitch. I can feel her fear, my Lycan and I love that. I can wait to tear off her head from her body. I see Tom and Emily. They both nod at me in support.

Noah walks on my side and whispers: “We still don’t know where is Fynn. He is still hiding and he can use his magic to help her. You need to be careful.”

“And if I push him to use his magic by hurting her do you think he could go out of his hidden place?” I whisper to him back.

He nods: “It could work.”

“Let’s try this then. Can you also cancel the appearance spell, I need to know who it is?”

“I will when Fynn will be out.”

“Do you think they are mates and this why he is helping her?” I ask him

“Perfect. Let’s start then.” Uncle Alec says retreating.

I need to thank Tom after the fight, our training has paid off.

As she’s trying to regain her balance, I attack again using my fists and my feet. I give her the time to get up to let the fight last longer. As soon as she is up, she attacks me. She punches twice on my right side but nothing I can’t handle. I don’t know why she didn’t turn on her Lycan yet. Maybe she can’t copy my Lycan. I don’t know but it’s time for me to turn. In a second, I turn in my Lycan and catch her arm and broke her wrist then her elbow. She falls on her knees screaming in pain but in a second her arm is healed by magic. I feel pain in my arm but it stops suddenly. Noah is protecting me. To heal someone you need to inflict his injuries to someone else. Fynn tries to inflict her injuries to me but Noah blocks it. We hear a scream and when I turn around I see Noah leaving with himself. Good, the witch is out!

The bad thing is I turn my back to the other Selina and she used that to launch at me. As she is not in her Lycan form, I’m able to not lose my balance and to push her back. I push her back and she flies through the arena. I hear a collective gasp and when she gets up I understand why. The spell is broken, she is not me anymore. No, and now I know who is it. Now I just need to know why.

“Serena, I never liked you. I knew I was right!” I say with disgust.

“Fuck you, Selina!” She replies upset.

“Why?” I ask.

“Because you don’t deserve what you have!”

“So what it gave you the right to ruin my life! I was never mean nor disrespectful with you.”

“Of course, you weren’t Miss goody two shoes!” She replies with disgust.

She adds: “Always so perfect! You always do what you’re asking for, always meet the expectations. Do you know how is it to grown up in your shadow? Everything was so easy for you while I have to work hard for everything and for what? Nothing was ever enough! Do you know why you are not close with your brothers and sisters? It’s because you’re too much: too perfect, too sweet, too polite, too... everything. Heck, you’re even too much for your own soulmate! All your life you did what people expected you to do. But we both know You’re just an empty shell. You don’t deserve what you have! And you have everything! How is that fair!”

I snick: “Flash news: nothing is fair in life. You have to learn to live with that!”

“You should have to go to see a shrink! What about the men that die trying to forceful mark me? Why dis they deserve to die?”

“Goddess have mercy for her!” I whisper before to launch at her again. I have the reason why moreover she is crazy.

I don’t let her any chance before yo kill her. Lycan or not as a Lycan princess I’m stronger and faster and thanks to Tom, I’m also a skilled fighter. She doesn’t stand any chance but I don’t like to kill so I prefer to end it quickly by separating her head for her body as fast as I can which is pretty quick. And like that, it’s over... This is painful and not satisfying at all.

I walk directly to my room to take a shower. I need it because I feel really dirty right now. All of this for that.

“You could have shown mercy to her! After all, she went through. You could have spared her life.” Dad tells me as he and Mom catch up with me, stoping me before I’m have the time to join my room.

“Anton! You know she didn’t have the choice!” Mom says not happy with him.

“Still, there was another way!” He protests.

“Don’t you care! I know you’re feeling guilty but you can’t put that on Selina’s shoulders.” She replies.

“I promised I would take care of her as my own!” Dad says broken.

“And look what happened? She tried to destroy our daughter, our Family!” Mom tries to reason him.

“Still we could have helped her if Selina had shown mercy.”

I’m taking out my long shirt to show them my bitten marks: “This is one of the things she did to me, and I have two others on my leg! You so don’t know me, you, MY family, that you weren’t able to realize when it’s was her! She destroyed our peace with the Vampire Kingdom! I’ve shown mercy by ending her fast!”

“Is that a Lycan bite?” Dad asks looking furious.

“Seriously! It’s the only thing you have to say! You know what? Go to hell!” I reply.

That’s too much! Forget the shower. I just need to getaway. I turn and I run as fast as I can through the castle, the garden and finally the forest. Thank Goddess they didn’t follow me, too involved in their discussion. I keep running until I’m in a small lake that I have never see. I stop and turn back un my human form. I enter the lake to wash. I start to cry and I don’t know how long I cry before I feel Tom's arms embracing me, his smell comforting me.

“Hey, it’s okay. It’s over now.” He whispers.

“Is it? Or it’s just the beginning? She was right, I spent my life doing what was expected from me. I’ve accepted everything for what? Nobody knows who I am, neither do I. My family looks like strangers for me.”

“She was lying, don’t let her getting you.” He shoots me.

“Really? Was she? Because I’m 22 and no idea of who I am. The only thing I know is I don’t want my life to be like that!” I tell him still crying.

“I need a break!” I add.

“I know, this is why I’ve already called Lana. She is waiting for my message.” He replies.

“Thank you!” I say taking his phone and sending a message to Lana.

“Princess?”

“Hmm?”

“Call me when you need and take the time you need.”

“Thank you! I love you, Thomas!” I reply.

“Love you too, Princess!”

“Take good care of my cousin please.”

“It’s not a goodbye?”

“No... I don’t know. Maybe.”

“No, it’s not. You know what? Call me once a week actually. If not, I will hunt you down. But this is not a goodbye. You and I are a pack, we will always have each other back.”

“Maybe we should break it now that you have your mate.” I tell him.

“Or maybe it’s time to become a pack of three.”

“I will think about it.”

“Yeah because we will not break it!” He says firmly.
