I knew it! I knew he was a Hybrid. Dad comes to wrap my hand in a tissue. Liam, Aiden, and Alpha Franck look horrify, Constantinos is not hiding his contentment and my father has his poker face as always. Alec is bothering by something though, I will have to ask him. Markus starts to retreat.



“I thought you have some business to discuss with Alpha Henry.” I ask him.



“It can wait 10 days. I really hope Alpha Liam will feel too bad to fight me, I will enjoy seeing you submit. What it says about you is true, you will be a perfect pet. Maybe I will keep you instead of killing you.” He says.



Someone behind my back growls. When I turn to see who is it, I’m surprised to see it’s Alpha Franck. Aiden and Alec are seeing red, Dad has difficult to keep his poker face, and Constantinos cringes. As for Liam, he is lost in another realm.

“Who says that?” I ask him.



There only one person who can say that: Dimitri. At least it confirmed that he received the poison by him. I need to contact that bastard of Vampire prince.



“Until 10 days!” Markus adds trying to touch my cheek but I turn my face to avoid it.

He is satisfied with the turn of the events. He is so delusional. I never saw someone so happy to sign his death warrant. Maybe it’s because he doesn’t realize that yet. Too bad for him. I feel almost sorry for him. The keyword is almost. 



“What is it bothering you?” I ask Alec.



“He is working with a wizard. He stayed hidden but I felt him.” He answers looking at the forest where Markus park disappears a few minutes ago.

I’m a lucky girl! I can help but smile. It’s so cut to see all they stand up for me when they know I don’t need them.



“Let’s walk son. You need to calm down.” Says Alpha Franck putting his hands on Liam’s shoulders. They leave together.



“They all trust you so even if I’m terrify for you, you have my support for whatever you’re planning.” Says Aiden.



“Thank you!”



“Alpha Henri, why Alpha Markus wanted to start a war with you?” Asks Constantinos.



“He wanted us to sign an Alliance. He is crazy. He wants to become some sort of king and you have to sign or he would destroy your pack. And Gamma Alec is right is his working with a wizard. Thank you for coming here without you, I don’t think we would have to be alive.”



“You don’t have to thank us. It’s normal to help each other. Even more we this kind of dangerous person.” Dad says.



“I will stay a bit longer to be sure he left. He will not attack but I want to be sure there is no spy.” Says Constantinos.

“By the way, Sophia she’s blessed with a second chance mate. Who is it?” I whisper to him.



“Willow didn’t tell me. But I have my idea. Let’s check that.” He answers and I see him mind-link someone.



A few minutes later we see Thanos, his beta coming. Thanos lost is mate in a car crash a year after they met, if someone deserves a second mate, it’s him. Suddenly we see him sniffing and then looking directly to Sofia. Shock pass in their faces and then both whisper “Mate.”



“Holy Shit!” He says in Greek and he loses his balance and fall. I cough to hide my laugh.



“And people say when you meet your mate it’s glamour and romantic. I’m a bit disappointed.” Says Alec dramatically sighing.

This time I laugh out loud.



“You can speak you ran away when you met your!” I mock him.

“I had an excellent excuse she was huge! And speaking a former language if you can call that a language because from my side it was just weird noises. And she ran after me like she was crazy. I didn’t know if she wanted my love or my life. Better be safe than sorry.” He defends himself and I laugh again.



“You did the exact same face than the guy in the toilet in Jurassic Park. I wish I had my camera. Maybe Melinda can cast a spell for that. I will share it with everyone!”



“Do that Lilly and you are dead!” He tells me sulking.

“I was so impressed by Beta Thanos when I met him the first time. As he has more muscle than Hulk and was so cold and distant. This broke the myth.” I say after I calmed myself.

“True he is the only one you are calling him by his title. Does that mean he lost this privilege now?” Dad says smiling.



“Maybe. Depend on his level of coldness. Alpha Franck and Luna Marie too but it’s a bad habit I kept from my childhood. ” I reply.

“So my Beta impressed you more than me?” Says Constantinos.

“Well he was as cold as you were hot.” I say and we share a knowing smile.

“I’m happy for him. He totally deserved another happiness.” He tells me.



“Yeah, he is a great guy. A great cold guy.” I confirm.



“We should go Alpha Liam and Alpha Franck are waiting for us at the portal. Time to go home.” Says Aiden.



“Constantinos, it was nice to see you. I hope we will meet sooner next time” I tell him.



“We will meet soon again. I will be here for the challenge. I will miss it for nothing.” He answers kissing me in my forehead.

After everybody said goodbye, we meet Liam and Alpha Franck. Liam looks calmer but he is still on the verge of losing it.

“Are you going to be fine? We can wait a little bit if you want. The portal will not close until we use it again.” I ask him.

“Why did you do that. To prove you were right? You’re happy now?” He tells me.

“No, I’m not happy. I can only imagine how you feel right now and I’m sorry.” I tell me.

He scoffs, he is still really angry.

“You need to calm down Liam.” Says Aiden.

“Don’t tell what I have to do!” Replies Liam dryly.

“Liam!” Alpha Franck says.

“Let’s go!” Liam says and passes through the portal.

I stop Alpha Franck and Aiden before they pass the portal too.

“You need to stop him before he sees Eleonora. He might say or do something he will regret if he is not calm.”

“I know.” Says Alpha Franck while Aiden sighs.

As we pass the portal and arrive in Liam’s territory, we can see him walk with determination in direction of the pack’s house. I run after him to block his path.

“Don’t.” I tell him.

“Move! I don’t have time or patience to handle you right now!”

“You can’t see Eleonora like that!”

He stops on his track that surprises me as he listened to me.

“How could she do this to me? To us?” He says.

He is so hurt that it’s painful to see him like this.

“I want her out of my territory now!” He says when the hurt is replaced by rage.

“I can’t blame her for that! Not if you know what he did to her!” I defend her.

“Why are you defending her! She took your place in this pack! She is loved by everyone here even your family when they are not able to love you. You should hate her.”

“It’s a really long list: she doesn’t deserve to pay for Markus, She had suffered because of him, you love her, she is the mother of you son, I don’t care about your pack or the Luna’s position, we were not mean to be, you are not the love of my life, she is the love of your life, she will still be here in 10 days and I will not, Tom needs his mother, you will hurt her more than Markus ever did.”

I can see his rage deflates at my last reason.

“Do I need to keep going or you have enough. Also, Markus doesn’t know we know and we need to keep it like that.” I finish.

“I know, you are right... It’s just I feel so betrayed.”

“ I don’t know if I can face her now.” He tells me.

“Yes, I wanted to know why she was calling me back and I was pissed when she told me I was paying for your mistake. When she told me she will not change her mind I ask her to not be involved in my life anymore and she had accepted.”

“It’s because I do but you are a stranger for me so I will not share with you my secrets. You can believe me when I tell you we wouldn’t be happy together.” I tell him.

“I respect your honesty even if I would like you could tell me more. I should go. I need to face Nora. So sooner the better. After I will rest I needed it if I don’t want you to die.” He sighs.

He nods and leaves.

“This was an odd discussion.” Says Alec in my back while Liam, his father, and Aiden are leaving.

“I know! Thank you for your help by the way!” I say with sarcasm.

“You can say his name, I don’t care.” I shrug.

“Then say it.” He defies me.

“Go to hell!” I say starting to walk toward our house while I hear him laughing.

We are at home with Alec and Collin are helping to prepare the diner. I spent the end of the afternoon on the phone. First with Ezequiel as I wanted him to find information about the wizard who is working with Markus and any pieces of information he can found about Markus’ motives. After I called my father and Darius as we spoke about what happened in the Fire Falls Pack territory. As always I have their full support. They will following me in hell if they have to - Not my words. Like I said before I’m a lucky girl! I also spoke with Duncan. Gosh, I miss him. It’s so long without him.

“I can’t believe Ezequiel is a Tiger shifter! And your ex-husband. And I met him! I really really met him. Even if it was on video, I Met Him!” Says Collin shaking his head.

“He is sending her and Tom away. He wants to send them to Alpha David. We have to stop him. You need to speak to him, knocking some sense in him, please. He doesn’t want to listen to me.”

“If Liam is not listening to you I don’t think he will to me.”

“I don’t care. I don’t think we can trust Alpha David. It’s my daughter in law and my grandson I will not take any risks.” He replies.

“Did he tell her about Markus be a hybrid?” Asks Alec.

“No, he tells her he met a witch that told him he will lose the fight and he wants to send her in a safe place. He didn’t want to lie to her so even if it’s only part of the truth it’s still not a lie.”

Smart move. At least Markus doesn’t know but sending her away is not the solution. I understand he wants to know she is safe and his pack too but Alpha David... He wants her in a safe place that’s very noble and totally misogynic. Hmm... He wants her in a safe place well we will offer her a safe place!

“Change his mind will be complicated if not impossible but with your help, we can find another solution.” I tell him.

“I will do anything so tell me your idea.” He replies and I smile.

“Perfect that what I wanted to hear!”

Liam will be so pissed. It’s should be fun!
