I slowly nodded, completely unsure of this whole situation, she smiled and said, “Hold out your hands” I nodded and did as told. She took my right wrist in her hand and pulled it towards her gaze looking it over carefully, tracing over my veins. She then looked up at me and said, “You have a lot of strength North, but in order to see in through completely, I need a blood sample, are you ok with that?“.

I nodded hesitantly, I was glad that she asked me beforehand if cutting my arm to get blood was ok. She held my hand carefully, then reached behind her and pulled out a knife with a strange wavy design and placed it in front of her.

“Hold still,” she said bringing the knife to my skin, then in one quick movement, and slashed it across my skin, making a huge slit that started to pour blood out. She yanked my wrist over and held it over the bottle, I watched as my blood trickled into the small bottle, filling it slowly. Oddly the cut didn’t hurt as I thought, it only felt like I pricked my finger.

She then pulled out a needle connected to tread and started stitching up my skin, as I said before, it didn’t hurt, I guess being half-wolf makes your pain tolerance higher. Then after the stitching, she pulled out a cloth and tied it around my wrist. “There, better?” I nodded and she turned her attention to the bottle.

I watched carefully as she twisted the top on and held it to her gaze and smiled, “As I suspected, you have very rare blood, most Lycan’s don’t even have it” I raised my eyebrows and asked “What does it mean?” she looked at me, surprised that I had said something.

“It means you are special North, very special” she nodded to me, then after she looked over the blood, she turned behind her and pulled out another vile that was clouded with green. She twisted it open, along with the small bottle of my blood.

She grabbed the green bottle and poured a little bit of it into my blood bottle, she twisted the cap on and twirled it around, my red blood then changed from velvet to a color that shined like the night sky. I stared at it in awe, what the hell is she making??

She then turned away from me completely, I heard her moving a few things but I saw nothing. She then turned around complete, holding a chained necklace with the glowing substance caged in ball moon design.

She held it out to me and said in a serious tone, “Wear this always, never take it off” I carefully took it into my hands and held it gently. I stared at it, then asked, “Why?” She then spoke in a calm tone, “It was made from your blood and wolves span, causing a remarkable glowing reaction, no witch will harm you or anyone who is with you when they see that”.

I nodded hooking it around my neck carefully, not taking my eyes off it, “But, don’t show it to anyone, people would kill for that” I nodded, tucking it carefully under my shirt, the light slowly dimming to nothing but liquid in an odd bottle.

Nymeria smiled at me, then stood, “Now we get to the real stuff, hold still” she stood behind me, the floor creaking under her feet. “I’m going to look in your mind for memories, I need you to stay still and calm and also close your eyes” I slowly nodded, completely unsure of everything.

She screamed, the dizziness soon drifted away, leaving only pain. It felt my brain was being squeezed, I felt my lungs begin to close off and I started gasping for air, I couldn’t think with all the pain in my head, I wanted to cry out but my lungs wouldn’t let me. She continued to chant, holding her hands on the side of my face.

I felt something warm and sticky pour out of my nose and mouth, ‘blood’ I spoke in my head, what the hell was she doing to me. I opened my eyes and cried out, “STOP!!!” she stopped chanting and moved her hands, I fell the sudden pain slow and I fell back at her feet, gasping for air, more blood spilling out my mouth in the process. She looked down at me in fear and concern.

I felt more blood pour down my face, but I just wanted the pain to stop, yes it slowed but it still hurt like hell. I felt a hand on my forehead, “Breath child” Nymeria spoke, then I heard the door open and I think I heard Miah yell, “What the hell did you do to him!!!!!???“. I felt her presence next to me.

“I’ve never had someone act dis way during a memory spell” I saw Nymeria dig in her bag while Miah rubbed my head gently, “it’s ok North, she’ll fix this” I wanted to nod but I was in too much pain. I heard Nymeria flipping through the pages of a book, she then walked back over and held her hand over my face.

She spoke, I soon felt the pain drift from my aching head, I sighed out in relief, then I heard more footsteps come into the room and I felt someone pick up my head and lay it down on something soft, I looked up to see Conny, who looked at me in fear and concern. “Stay with me North” she begged, I nodded showing her I understood.

I just wanted to sleep, so I let myself fall

through the screaming of the adults and chaos

I fell asleep.
