Miah’s P.O.V

I forced myself to join reality and noticed I was already back in the room with the other doctors who I’ve managed to fool. Stupid humans.

“They’re ready” the head doctor (I think) nodded and said grabbing the end of the bed, “Let’s move him”. I nodded and joined them and pushed his bed in the elevator. Once we were down, we went back to the ambulance bay and loaded him in.

I offered to ride along to ‘make sure he got there’. I watched the lifeless boy laying on the bed in front of me, I really shouldn’t have given a new wolf a large dose of wolves span. I ran my hand over his head gently, using my senses to make sure he was still alive, I smiled when I heard his distant heartbeat that normal human ears can’t track, he was strong. I leaned back and looked out the window.

Soon we arrived at the cremation place, the ambulance team helped me unload him and help him inside, I was incredibly happy that I have friends here that know what we are and accept it, only a few wolves work outside the pack, me and a few high ranking people.

I’m the head warrior at my pack so I just barely below a Delta, oddly enough my pack doesn’t have one, only an Alpha and Beta, the Beta happens to be on a trip to a Witch coven so I basically have to play the role of Beta and Delta and some times Alpha.

My Alpha doesn’t do shit for anyone, but I can’t teach him a lesson because he has power over me that a simple warrior can’t overcome without a little force and risking a fight to the death. I looked back down at North, he gives the aura of an Alpha which is strange, wolves that are bit can never be Alphas.

They moved him to a room, I stood there and told the team I would get a ride back, that I just needed to overlook the procedure. Then Nick walked in and smiled, “Miah, how are you?” I smiled and walked over to hug him, “As good as I’ll ever be” he chuckled, then looked at North.

Nick is a witch who left his coven a few years ago and decided to put his power to use in the human world. I met him a while back when I was doing pack business here in this human town, we became friends after that but no matter how hard I try, I can never convince him to join the pack.

We offer protection for witches without a coven, in fact, we currently have a young witch there now, and she happens to be around North’s age, but she tends to be stubborn so I don’t think they’ll make good friends at all.

“So this is the famous new Lycan, North” I nodded, then he said, “Well, wait till working hours are over then you both can go” I nodded then said, “Thank you for doing this, it means a lot old friend” he smiled warmly and nodded, “Sure thing Miah, tell Connor I said hi” I laughed, “Of course”.

With the war going on, I’m glad I can have a witch as a friend, they’re hard to find these days.

I waited in this room for hours, playing on my phone, taking to North like a crazy person, you know stuff like that. Then soon it was dark outside, Nick came in and said, “I had someone grab your car, it’s outside” I nodded and said, “Thank you” he nodded then he helped me get North off the bed and helped me carry him to the car, I placed him in the back and laid him down on a coat.

“You know, I’ve never really seen you act like this Miah” I looked at him confused, “Act like what?” he smirked then said walking to his car, “Like you care”, I rolled my eyes, then I walked to the front of the car and turned it on, I glanced back at North, I guess I did care about this kid, In the short time I’ve known him, I cared.

North’s P.O.V

My eyes shot open when I heard the door open I jumped slightly and banged my head on the seat I was sitting behind?, but I calmed when I saw it was only Miah, she smirked at me then grabbed the keys from the cup holder and started the car, I sat up and saw I was laying in the back of the car, sleeping on a coat.

I wanted to ask her what the hell happened and how I got here so suddenly because I distinctly remember sitting on a hospital bed when she.... SHE DRUGGED ME!!. I looked at her in shock, then right when I was about to speak.

She looked at me and said in a calm tone, “Sleep, I’ll wake you when we’re there” I shook my head, then a huge wave of tiredness fell over and I found myself nodding and I leaned back against the coat, listening to the sound of the car running over sticks and other things.

I wanted to ask where we were going but I couldn’t find the strength to, I was way too tired to even move. I would have complained about how uncomfortable I was laying back here but at this point, I didn’t really care about how tired I was.

I never really imagined that I’d be here but who knows what my mind was like before this, probably your typical teenager in high school with a hot girlfriend. It was hard to think about being another person completely, or maybe I was the same as I am now, maybe my life before never left me.

Maybe I’ll make the same mistakes,

have the same dreams, and live the same life, or maybe I won’t, only time will tell...
