Chapter 94 

Darren knew the story between Hunter and Lilac and how they met when they were children, but this story was only known by him and Rye, since they grew up together. 

However, he didn’t think the other pack member would accept Lilac with open arms, because they still tried to warm up with her and Hunter’s decision to mark her, it was a seal for the fact that she was their future luna. 

Some of the people still believed the alpha was only messing around, as they knew how womanizer he could be despite his cold exterior and how scary he could be some time. 

“The fuck with the pack member, Darren. I don’t need their permission to choose my equal. They have nothing to do with this. If they don’t like it, they can go away from this pack,” Hunter said in deep voice. 

Darren sighed. There was no way the pack member would walk out from this pack, more so, despite their fear toward him, the pack member actually had been wanted for him to snatch the alpha title from his father, since they didn’t really like the way his father led the pack. 

To put it simple, the pack members were only look after him, since they cared and respected him enough as their alpha./

The alpha took his luna back to their bedroom and not long after that, Hella came to check on Lilac again, she gave the same report that she would need to rest a little bit longer, because of the injuries and her fresh mark. 

“For werewolf, our mark is pretty strong, that’s why we need to be careful when we marked our mate when they came from different kind like us,” Hella explained about it a little bit, telling the alpha it would be normal if Lilac slept for a few days straight. “Just make sure she will not sleep on her back until her wounds are completely healed.” 

After giving detail explanation of what he should expect for the next few days, Hella left the room to make a concoction for Lilac.

If they couldn’t get anything from Kellan and where did he met those lycans that attacked this pack, he would better to get rid of his tongue, since he didn’t want to speak, because it would be useless on him. 

“I will stay here for tonight, you and Rye could take care of the rest.” Hunter went to get 

fresh towel and want to wipe clean Lilac’s b*dy, but because Darren was still standing there, he couldn’t undress her. “What are you waiting for? Christmas?” Hunter frowned because his beta didn’t leave immediately. 

Instead, Darren chuckled and shook his head, as if he found the whole situation was funny or something. “You can ask someone to take care of her you know, you look like her personal maid.” 

Hunter didn’t take offense for that comment, instead there was a rare smile on the corner of his l*ps, which made Darren was slightly taken aback. “I don’t mind that.” 

Darren grimaced. He had never seen Hunter was being very infatuated by someone like this before, but maybe, those women he had been with, were not the people he actually wanted to be. 

Didn’t know what to say anymore, Darren left the alpha with the luna. Lilac was their luna now, from the second Hunter marked her, even though the ceremony had not yet taken place. 

With that, Hunter was left alone with his mate. His woman. His life. 

Hunter took off her clothes and saw the injuries on her back, but he could spot a few bruises on her arms and wrist, in which he couldn’t help, but grimaced, since he knew the culprit for those bruises. It was himself. He should remind himself in the future to be more gentle with her. 

He wiped her clean before he put on clean dress and then laid down next to her, but he didn’t sleep. He wanted to make sure Lilac wouldn’t fl*p her b*dy and lay on her back instead. 

With that, he was awake the whole night, but of course, Hunter used his time to think of all the possibility of who could be those lycan. 

Was there another pack of lycan that he didn’t know in this realm? He didn’t think that was possible. In the beginning, he thought the lycan were the warriors from this pack, but when he saw them, he didn’t recognize even one of them. 

Hunter used to train the warriors and even though he didn’t remember all of their

Hunter thought about that all night, until later in the morning, he ordered Raya to 

stay 

inside the bedroom to look after Lilac. 

No matter how outspoken Raya was, in the face of the alpha, she behaved really well. It could be said, Hunter’s words were more effective than her own brother, despite she knew the alpha since they were little too. 

After that, Hunter went to the dungeon to get more information from Kellan, leaving Lilac alone under Raya’s care.
