11 288 Vouchers

Sarah Williams – POV

“…get help… Now!”

“…blood…severe wound…”

“…move…” I was hearing fractions of the conversations, which made me open my extra-heavy eyelids. I was. surrounded by a lot of unknown werewolves, and there were a few humans around me too. The sky was still dark, with the full moon as the only source of light.

“Sarah…all right?” I lifted my head with great difficulty and looked to my right. My vision was extremely blurred, so it took me a few minutes to realize that it was Noah, and I noticed his lips slightly tremble, and he bowed his head in shame.

“Please, answer my question,” he spoke again and when I tried to speak, the only sound that came from my mouth was a pained growl, and that is when I realized that I haven’t shifted back to my human form yet.

“Jane, please give me back the control,” I asked my wolf, and she whimpered.

“I am sorry I couldn’t protect you from that rogue, Sarah. I should have tried better.” She said.

“It’s all right, Jane.” I consoled and then she retreated to the back of my mind, and I shifted back to my human form and curled my body to protect the little dignity that I had.

Chapter 13

1788 Vouchers

My fingertips touched the wound on my stomach, and within a few seconds, it was soaked with blood. The wound hasn’t even closed yet, and my head was still pounding like a drum from all the blood loss.

“Everyone, turn around!” I heard a command come from a powerful voice, and I looked up to see that it was Beta Alan, he looked ferocious. All the warriors adhered to his command and showed their back to me, while Beta Alan was the only person who was staring at me intensely. I felt extra self-conscious under his scrunching glance, and when he started to move closer, I feared that he might mock me for my weakness.

He stopped right in front of me and kneed down before he removed his shirt and handed it over to me, stood up, and turned around till I dressed, and I soon wore the black shirt. The shirt was huge, and it was long enough to cover me till my mid-thigh. But when I looked down, I saw that blood was slowly trickling down my legs, which made me dizzy, and right when Beta Alan turned around, I was swaying, and when I was about to hit the floor, he caught me and carried me bridal style.

“Search the entire perimeter. And if you find that rogue, bring him to the dungeon.” Beta Alan ordered before I felt we started to move.

“Nothing will happen to you, Sarah.” I heard him mumble under his breath all the way to the pack while I was moving in and out of consciousness.

“Beta Alan, what happened to her?” I opened my eyes again. to see that I was in the hospital wing, and a nurse was

looking down at me.

“She was attacked by that rogue. He had dug his nails deep into her belly, but the wound hasn’t even healed yet.” Beta Alan explained, and the nurse nodded her head and moved away from my field of vision. When she came back, she had worn a pair of surgical gloves and had some surgical tools in her hand. She walked closer to me and removed a few

buttons to expose my belly.

She probed my skin and collected a few drops of my blood into a small vial and sealed it. “Beta Alan, you can carry her to room number 12. I will let the doctor know about this soon,” she said, and then she walked away from us while beta Alan took me to the room.

We entered a huge room that had a sealed window in the far corner of the room, a hospital bed in the center, and two sofas in front of the bed with a television mounted directly in front of the bed. Beta Alan gently placed me on the bed, and moved aside, soon after that, a team of nurses came into the room and started to clean all my wounds and h o o ked me up to an IV.

Beta Zachary Alan-POV

“Beta Alan, could you please step outside?” one of the nurses. asked me, and I begrudgingly left the room. The smell of water lily and peaches was still lingering in my shirt, making my wolf purr in contentment.

“You should not have spoken rudely to our mate.” Owen, my wolf, scolded me, and I huffed.,

“Shut up, Owen! I hate her. The only reason I came here was that she is a part of my pack, my responsibility, and I cannot be answerable to Alpha Blaze if she dies.”

“Yeah, right! Whatever makes you…”

“Beta Alan, can I speak to you for a moment?” I was broken from my conversation with my wolf when the doctor came outside the room, and I nodded my head. “Miss. Williams’ blood reports had just come in. Her wound is infected with wolfbane poison, and that is the reason she is not healing.”

“Then, flush it out of her system,” I suggested, and the doctor shook her head.

“It has mixed with every drop of her blood, and it is slowly killing her.”

“So, tell me whether can you save her life or not?” I asked her in a stern voice, and the hallway was quiet before she nodded her head.

“It is possible if we have her mate’s blood.” this made a chill run down my body. If my blood mixes with hers, then the

bond between us will only get stronger, and I will inevitably start to garner feeling for her, and I don’t want that to happen.

“So, can I proceed with that?”

“Huh?”

“Miss.Williams told me that she has already found her

mate.”
