Chapter 10 

After Keith gave Henry an emergency treatment, Henry got his life back for now. 

Keith asked Vanessa to do the transfer procedure to move Henry to traditional medicine hospital where he worked. He would personally give Henry emergency treatments every day. 

Once Vanessa heard that Keith would treat Henry personally, she was so excited that she immediately proceeded to do the billing procedures. 

Keith called William to the door of the ward and whispered the truth to William that Vanessa’s father did not have much time left. 

Henry was so sick that he could not be cured. 

Henry might still live for half a month if it went well, but if it did not go well, he might die in about a week. 

William sighed lightly and asked Keith to arrange for Danny to be fitted with cochlear implants as soon as possible. 

He looked over at Danny. 

Danny, who was 15 years old and already a big boy, stood guard at the hospital bed, his eyes red and completely oblivious to what they were saying. 

Keith also looked at Danny. After withdrawing his gaze, he said, “After passing the physical evaluation, he can have the cochlear implants surgery tomorrow. After the implantation, we have to keep debugging and maintaining. He’ll be able to hear the outside world when we turn on the cochlear implants in about a month or so. After that, he needs to have language training.”

Hanging up the phone, Keith said, “Let’s go to eat working meals at Caritas Private Hospital.”
