Chapter 9 

Keith reached out to Vanessa and introduced himself. “Hello, my name is Keith Cooper, and I practice traditional medicine. William and I are like brothers from different parents.” 

“Nice to meet you. I’m Vanessa Sanchez.” Vanessa stretched out her hand to Keith. 

After Keith shook hands with Vanessa, he looked around and thought for a moment. He said, “I was in a hurry and didn’t bring a gift. I’ll make it up to you next time.” 

He scratched his head in embarrassment as he spoke. 

“There’s no need for gifts. Thank you for saving my dad. Thank you!” Vanessa kept thanking him. 

Bringing her dad back to life was the best gift ever for Vanessa. 

Moreover, William’s friend would be her friend in the future, and there was no need for gifts between friends. 

Besides being grateful to Keith, she was grateful to William. She knew that it was William who brought Keith. 

I’ll make it up to you when you have your wedding,” Keith said. 

“Thank you!” 

“Oh, come on, we’re family, don’t stand on ceremony with me.” Keith pulled out his phone again. “Here, Vanessa, can I have your WhatsApp?” 

William gave Keith a warning look. 

Keith laughed and insisted on adding Vanessa on WhatsApp. 

“Why is he glaring at me? I would never talk nonsense,” he thought. 

Vanessa immediately took out her phone and added Keith to her WhatsApp. 

After adding each other on WhatsApp, Keith said, “Hey, you guys got your marriage license today. Why didn’t you make an official announcement on Twitter?” 

Vanessa blushed, feeling a bit embarrassed. 

She was not familiar with William yet. 

Her dad was still lying in bed, so she didn’t have the heart to announce it on Twitter. 

“Hurry, post it on your Twitter to celebrate. We’ll have a big meal to celebrate once Mr. Sanchez gets better,” said Keith. 

William took out his marriage license from his pants pocket. 

“Vanessa, hurry up. Where’s yours?” Keith urged. 

Vanessa also took out her marriage license. 

“I’ll take a photo for you. My photography skills are quite good,” Keith boasted as he took their marriage license. 

He placed it neatly on the small table, found a good angle, took a photo, and put a rose emoji in it. 

“One more!” Keith said as he re–arranged the two marriage licenses. 

After taking the photo, he left the picture of William and Vanessa on the marriage license visible while blackening out all personal information, such as their names. 

“Alright, I’m sending it to you guys.” He was satisfied with the outcome and quickly sent it to William and Vanessa. 

William received the photo and was about to post it on Twitter. 

Keith stopped him. “Wait, wait. Let’s take a picture of you guys holding hands!” 

William took Vanessa’s hand naturally. 

Vanessa grabbed onto William’s hand. 

Perhaps it was because William had been the source of motivation and support for her in the past few days, Vanessa felt a sense of security when she held his hand. 

“The scene of interlocking fingers is nice, Keith said with a smile as he crouched down to take a photo of William’s and Vanessa’s intertwined hands. 

“I’ll add a special effect for now, and you can get your wedding rings when free,” Keith said as he edited the photo. 

While he was working on it, he praised himself. “I’m really good at editing photos. This ring is so pretty you can’t tell it’s a special effect. It looks so real.” 

“Ah, I can’t wait to see William post this on Twitter and see Tracy’s exasperated expression.

Just thinking about it makes me relieved. 

“Does she think that William can’t do without her? 

“Any woman William marries would be better than her, Keith thought. 

William got the picture and posted it on Twitter with the message. [With your hand in mine, till death do we part.] Vanessa also posted on her Twitter with the message, [Cherish everything. Thank you for appearing in my life.] 

Keith couldn’t wait to like their messages. 

Then he left a message on William’s post. [Wow! Getting married in such a hurry? Is a baby on the way?] 

He then mentioned a few people, including Frank Roberts. [Quick, come and see, someone’s officially off the market! Let’s be jealous of him together.] 

In five minutes, Frank and the others would be bidding for the project in the conference room. However, even in this exciting moment, they couldn’t wait to leave messages after seeing William’s post.. 

Frank left a message. [What! I envy the hell out of him.] 

Shawn said, His wife is so beautiful, even in her identification photo. It seems that all love starts with appearance.] 

Alex said. [Envious!] 

Keith immediately mentioned William in the group chat. [The one who just got married, please give vouchers!] 

This group chat had eight people. Other than the six men, Tracy Yost and Shawn Yeats‘ fiancée were in. 

They wouldn’t add those who were not a bride–to–be to the group. 

William knew that Keith never liked Tracy. He side–glanced at Keith and said, “What a childish reaction.” 

Then he sent vouchers to the group. 

Keith got a voucher and started working up the atmosphere in the group.

He mentioned the others one by one. 

After mentioning the other men, he intentionally sent a pointed message to Tracy.

At that time, William told her that if she insisted on going abroad, they would break up. 

She told William to stop making a fuss and that she was participating in the competition. It was not like she was not coming 

back. 

She thought William was just joking with her and didn’t expect he would mean it. 

She had to return to the country immediately to calm him down. This is so that she can salvage the relationship in the event he does inherit the Hawk Group.

“Shawn Yeats had some money, but lie was way behind compared to aristocratic families.

The announcement for boarding echoed through the speaker. Tracy quickly turned off her phone and got ready to board. 

She was planning to have William annul his marriage with that woman by using his connections. 

Otherwise, she would be hopping mad.
