Later that night we all were prepared and doing some last minute preparation for Jeremy’s first shift, as you can tell it’s very important for the shifter and it’s his sixteen birthday today and now any minute we can go to the shifting grounds for the shift to take place. Usually whole pack gathers with the family members to show their love and support for the new shifters but, we requested them not to come we want it to be highly confidential because we don’t know what will be there reaction to see our wolf specially mine and we don’t even know what kind of wolf Jeremy be like his father or mother so, we want it to be just family for now and they understood our way, so it’s good.

A very nervous looking Jeremy came and stood beside me he was just wearing basketball shorts, rubbing his hand together and watching the trees, gazing them like some alien home “you know it’s going to be just fine, we practiced the stances and I prepared you well, so don’t worry it’s going to be okay” I said and patted his shoulder in assurance.

“If you say so” he mumbled

“I know so now stop acting like a freaking girl, you are going to be a man now and who knows tomorrow you’ll find your mate” I said.

“Whatever you say Jamie, but seriously though can I ask you something” he said, I nodded my head he continued “I want to go running with you, when I successfully shifts, for my very first shift”

I watched him carefully and said “Are you sure? Is Emma okay with this, you know she’s your sister and all” because I don’t want any drama, at least not now anyway.

He shook his head and said “I asked her she’s okay with it, in fact she said she’s glad that I choose you than that joker Joshua, she thinks he will kill me or something, as we constantly on each other’s throat” and laughed, I joined him and then said “well then I’m honored to accompany you in your very first run”

“Thanks, it means a lot to me” Jeremy said and at the same time Roman called for us saying it’s time and we went to proceed with the ritual.

“So ready” I asked

“Ready as ever be” he said back and together we made our way towards the grounds for his first shift.

Jeremy’s shift was rather simple, I mean it took only 20 minutes for him to shift in his wolf while some of them took hours and trust me on this it’s hurt like a bitch and a very terrifying experience.

Jeremy’s wolf is of dark brown color like chocolate and his wolf’s eyes are both white pale like his father, he might have some abilities of his father, but it can change color as it one second it changed to yellow color, might be the mask to hide it’s true color, interesting and it also means we have to look after him very much now like his wolf is also somewhat special.

As he shifted he wobbly stood on all four and came straight towards me and nudged my legs indicating for me to shift, I patted his head and said “eager much” he nudged again, I chuckled and in one swift motion I shifted in my pure black wolf, my wolf stood tall and it radiates power, my eyes glowed white and blue when I’m in anger or reflect any other emotion, I have to be carefully, I haven’t shifted in my true form yet, it’s like my subsidiary form with my actual color with green eyes and nudged Jer’s wolf and fled towards the direction of north and Jeremy following behind closely.

It’s been another week for me and others in this pack and it’s getting better every day and surprisingly I like it here, it’s peaceful and soothing for me and everyone just adores Ethan and Riley, they also love it here.

Also our Jeremy found his mate which not to my surprise is summer, matt’s daughter and she also shifted after two days from Jeremy in her light brown wolf and they both are joint to their hips from then, Jeremy got talk from her father and brother who promised him to hunt him down and kill him if he hurt her sister, now obviously everyone got mated around me and it’s just me left without a mate. Not that I want one, I’m happy single, but my wolf is another story. He wants to have a mate and recently he is projecting some graphic images in my head for that matter. I felt someone pulling my leg and when I looked down I found Ethan. I sighed from the day he started crawling. He’s a handful for me to handle, he always wants to be left down and he goes everywhere in his reach and sometimes it’s dangerous too.

I bent down and picked him up, he try to wiggle his way out but, I held him firmly and blew raspberries in his stomach he giggled and excitedly clapped his hand and put it on my face cupping both of my cheeks and keeping on slapping it like a game “you like it” I asked him and again blew some moiré raspberries making him squeal loudly, I laughed with him and “daddy loves it when you laugh” and kissed everywhere on his face and whispered I love you to him in his ear and kissed his forehead lightly then left him to crawl some more in the living area, which he happily did.

It’s also been a week, I joined as a science teacher in the local school which was going well for me. It’s not the money but the content feeling and it also helps me to distract from my jumbled thoughts from my past. I sighed and went to prepare dinner for me and Ethan again, as Josh’s eating with Eva, his mate. I heard the front door open then close and then I smelled Joshua as he entered the house, perks being werewolf no door bell, and then heard Ethan squeal as Josh picked him up and after a few seconds both of them entered the kitchen.

Josh put Ethan in his high chair and took the seat beside him and continued tickling and making him giggle in delight.

“I thought you weren’t coming home for the dinner” I asked without even looking at his direction.

“Yeah I’m just here to talk to you about something” he said and his voice was a little hesitant.

“Ok so what’s up?” I asked without stopping what I was doing.

“Well you better take the seat” Joshua said and I dropped the work I was doing and sat opposite him and Ethan and said “talk”

He scratched the back of his neck which gave me full view of his neck and the red mark on it, slowly it drawn on me that they have marked each other and I couldn’t stop myself asking “you both marked each other” he just nodded and said “well I want to ask you that….” Josh trailed off and looked little scared to tell his mother that he stole a cookie from jar.

“Well what do you want to ask?” I encouraged him and smiled

“Well Eva and I, I mean Eva wants me to move in with her, you see now we are marked and the urge to be close to each other have increased and I want to be with her, so I want to move out and move in with her in her home, only is you agree to it” Joshua said not looking directly at me but moving his hands in Ethan’s hair soothingly.

I sat their observing all the information in and then sighed and thought it was bound to happen one way or another, but I wish we have some more time but, again it’s time it doesn’t stop for any one “Joshua you don’t have to ask my permission for moving in with your mate, and don’t you feel guilty about it okay, I understand” and patted his hand rested on the dining table.

“So that means you are okay with the whole moving out thing” Joshua asked, I nodded. He beamed and hugged me by coming around the table and said “you are the best” and tried to leave the kitchen when I asked “do you need help in packing?”

“Nah I already had done that” with saying that he left the house to go for his date with his mate.

I sighed and thought well that went well, and turned around to Ethan who was summoned in his own thoughts and said “well it looks like it’s just you and me from now on” and went back to my left task, which was to prepare dinner for us.

It’s been almost one month and two weeks since I’ve been away from my family and my pack. I don’t even know what’s going on there and there were some new members coming too.

I was stuck in this stupid meeting about the recent attacks on the pack by rogues or hunters we don’t know yet. I haven’t talked to my dad about the recent update about my pack back home. And most importantly I missed my baby sister’s birthday and she was going to shift for the first time in her wolf.

I sighed and thanked god that this meeting was over and done with, because I seriously started to despise all the talking there.

I was going and rounding all the packs around America {north}, in search for my mate and also to find out about the situation prevailing around and seriously though I want to go back home now, because I’m tired of all the traveling and attending meetings and secondly my wolf is going crazy and always on edge from past few weeks, which I don’t understand why?’

We all left the meeting room and everyone left to their business and I dialed my father’s number and waited for him to pick up the phone and after fourth ring he said “hello”

“Hey dad, it’s me” I said “how’s the pack doing?”

“Logan” dad said “well packs doing fine and how meeting going on any progress their” dad asked

“Well meetings are meetings, and for progress it’s just not much” I said and then asked “how’s patrolling going on any intruders?”

“Nah no intruders but, I have found the right beta for you” dad said

Beta he found one thank god now I can breathe in relief “well who he is?”

“Well the new members were about to join right, I asked one of them and trust me he is very good in his work and I can assure you he’s the best” dad said

“Well I trust your decision” I said “so how was Summer’s first shift I feel guilty not to be present their for her”

“Well don’t worry she understand and her shift went very well” dad said “actually I want to inform you that she also found her mate”

What mate, Summer my baby sister he found her mate, how can she, she’s just sixteen. What is her mate like? Is he a boy or a man or some kind of pedophile, I just can’t think straight now, I mentally noted when I go back I will talk to her mate personally.

“Hello son are you there?” dad’s voice pulled me back

“yeah I’m there” I said and then added “I’m going to talk to her mate personally when I’ll be back home” dad just chuckled and said “well you don’t have to he’s just a boy, and very good boy he just turned sixteen too, so there’s nothing to worry about”

“So when are you coming back?” dad asked instead

“I don’t know seriously, but it will take few weeks I guess” I said “I’ll inform you when I’m coming back okay and dad when I come back I want to personally meet the new members of the pack and Summer’s mate too”

Dad laughed loudly on the phone and said “whatever you want but, let me warn you your mom like them and your sisters mate too and Ryan also like the family and he took all big brother mode for Summer as well as her mate”

“Well I guess I have to catch up on a lot of things when I get back” I said and shortly after I said my goodbyes, within a few seconds they called us for another round of meeting.
