Chapter 62
Damien was stupefied. “You’re actually wondering about that?”
“If I hadn’t stopped you…”
“Sec, Ana, that is the first difference. You stopped me. You thought about Alan and what could happen if he woke up and walked in on us.”
Ana nodded, but she didn’t look convinced.
“Moreover, we are his parents. You are not some random woman and I am not some guy you irresponsibly brought back. Someday, he will walk in on us in a compromising position. I would rather it be now when he is a child and doesn’t understand what he sees. What if he walked in on us when he is older and got scarred for life?”
Damien didn’t care that he was implying they would be in compromising situations in the near future and way beyond that. After last night and that morning. Damien didn’t doubt that they were headed in that direction.
Anastasia chuckled. “He’s a really observant child, you know? He pays attention.”
“To us?”
Ana nodded. “His mind is working on overtime trying to work it all out.”
“But he hasn’t asked you anything about it yet?” Damien wondered.
Alan was an intelligent child and would have many questions about the situation. He had slept over quite a few nights and he had been caught by Alan. How could he explain their relationship to a toddler?
“Not yet, but it’s only a matter of time. I wish I knew what to expect. It’s nerve–wracking”
“Yeah.”
Ana grabbed the milk from the fridge and filled up a sippy cup for Alan. “I am making some french toast, do you want
some?”
“Give Alan his milk, I’ll make the toast,” he said, grabbing a loaf of bed from the pantry cabinet. As Anastasia left the kitchen. Damien was struck by inspiration. He didn’t know how he came up with the idea, but he knew he had to show her just how much she meant to him. He wanted to display how much he wanted them together. Ana already knew that he wanted her physically because he was a hard mess anytime she was breathing in his direction, but otherwise? Did she really know?
She started to prepare the bread and thought about what he would do. Ana must have seen something on his face when she returned, but it made her anxious. She looked stiff as she spoke..
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing! Come here, will you?”
Ana walked to Jim hesitantly. Damien brushed the back of his hand against her cheekbone affectionately. “Anastasia, would you go out on a date with me?”
Her face instantly relaxed into a bright smile. “A date? Like dinner and a movie?”
“Something like that.”
“I’d love that.” Damien let out a sigh of relief, making Ana giggle. “Wait. Did you think I would turn you down?”
“Not really. But somethings, I am at a loss for what to expect from you.” His eyes roamed over her face in fascination.
Ana pressed herself against him, wrapped her arms around his neck, and brought him down in a firm but gentle kiss.

That! I never know what to expect,” he said against her lips.
“Do you want me to be a wee bit more predictable?” she asked, amused.
“No! If I get more of that, just be exactly as you are.”
Ana laughed and pushed him back. But Damien wasn’t about to let her go just then. He reached out for her and pulled her back into his arms. He rested his chin against her head.
“Right after going to the park?” he asked.
“I would like that.”
“Mm. We can spend the morning with Alan at the park and then we can go out. That way, we won’t feel guilty leaving him
out.”
Ana lifted her head and looked at him for a second. She pressed her cheek against his chest and he felt a rumble as she spoke, “You feel guilty?”
“A little. I feel like I don’t see him often. Especially when I have a lot of work.”
Ana rubbed her cheek against him. “I’m sorry.” She toyed with the hem of his shirt and then the loop of his belt. “What do you think? Do you want to take him for the night?”
Damien couldn’t help the grin that spread across his face. “Really?”
“Yes.”
Damien was about to bounce out of his skin. “Do you think he would be comfortable with that?”
“You know what? I think he would be thrilled.”
From the corner of his eye, Damien saw that the toast was almost ready. He let go of Ana with a small kiss on the forehead and then finished making breakfast. They sat in the living room, watching a show that Alan liked before he left to go to his house.
Damien helped Alan pack everything he would need for the night.
“Are you sure you’re going to be okay without us?” Damien teased Ana as they headed to the door.
“Oh, I don’t know… Whatever could I do with all the free time?” she laughed. “I could read a book, finally watch the series 1 have been keeping on my list for months, or maybe even take a bubble bath with a glass of wine!”
The thought of Ana naked, in a bathtub, surrounded by soft lighting, and sipping on wine made Damien groan with want.
Anastasia smirked, knowing exactly what he was thinking. She kissed Alan goodbye and then approached him. Her lips were warm and wet as she sucked on his lower lip..
Alan was standing near the porch, picking up little branches and leaves from the ground. Ana pushed up against Damien, pushing his back against the back so that they were hidden from view. Her hand slid down and rubbed him through his pants. She gingerly grabbed his thick length and began stroking.
Damien gasped, his eyes rolling back into his head.
“You’re so easy to tease,” she whispered against his mouth. Damien placed his hand over hers, urging her on.
“Ana, don’t start something you can’t finish right now,” he warned. He peeled her hand away before giving her a chaste kiss. Damien adjusted himself before approaching his son, who was still absorbed in the scattered sticks on the floor.
Chapter 62
Ready to go, kiddo?” he asked, swooping Alan into his arms.
Alan squealed as Damien ran to the car. He giggled the entire way.
