Chapter 61 

Damien pulled his hand away and heard Anastasia sigh in irritation. Before she got the chance to protest, Damien cupped her breast and brushed her thumb over her nipple. 

Ana gasped, thrusting her chest forward and grinding her hip, feeling exactly what he had to offer. 

Damien grit his teeth to resist. He tried to shift away from her but he didn’t have much room. “Sorry,” he murmured. 

He didn’t want to stop, but he needed to situate himself in a less cautious position. Damien rolled them over so that Ana was pressed underneath him. He scooted down her body and lifted her shirt so that her stomach was revealed to him. He scattered light kisses on her stomach but stopped abruptly when he felt small ridges. He pulled back and looked down to find several scars on her hips and lower abdomen. He probably wouldn’t have seen them if he weren’t so close to her. 

“They’re stretch marks,” Ana commented, pushing her hand away. 

“I know what they are,” he replied, placing his finger on a mark and tracing it gently. 

“Stop that.” 

“Why?” Damien asked, confused. 

‘Does she really want me to stop? Am I making her uncomfortable?” 

He looked up at her. Ana didn’t look distressed but her cheeks were flushed with what he assumed was embarrassment. 

“You’re making me self–conscious,” she admitted. She tried to wriggle away and swat his hands, but Damien grabbed both her wrists. Since his hands were occupied, he could only resume his trail of kisses, focusing completely on the marks. 

“They shouldn’t,” he mumbled, his voice vibrating against her skin. “These are from your pregnancy?” he guessed. 

“Yeah,” she said quietly. “I gained a lot of weight.” 

“Ana, you grew a baby inside you. My baby. I can’t think of anything sexier than that, believe me.” 

Ana twitched under him, but he continued to hold her down. He waited until he caught her eyes and when he did, he grinned wickedly. 

“What do you want to do?” she asked nervously. 

“Me? What could I ever do?” he chuckled. 

“That annoying expression on your face. The one your son inherited. I know you are up to trouble the moment I see it.” 

Damien kept his eyes locked on her and bent his head again. He flatted his tongue and dragged it across her stomach. He traced the marks, the very ones that symbolized that she had carried his child inside her. 

A wave of misery washed over him as he remembered he hadn’t been with her at the time. He had missed out on watching his child grow in her stomach, but he shoved it aside. He didn’t want to fall back on those sad thoughts again. 

As he traveled further down, Ana lifted her hips and moaned. He neared the waistband of her pants and realized he was close to the goal. He could flick his hands and slide her pants down. He could easily slip his tongue inside her heated mound. 

But then? Would that be moving too fast? Would Ana regret it? 

His mind and body were at war. His member was practically revolting to be unleashed and have her writhing, while his brain just wanted to slow down and go with the plan. Damien was only going to give her a small preview of how good he could make her feel. He wanted her to know how good he wanted to make her feel.. 

Luckily, Anastasia made the decision on his behalf. “Damien, we can’t… Alan is going to wake up any time now.” 

Damien gulped and sighed. He resigned himself to his fate and climbed back up her body after placing one final kiss on the naval. He hovered over her, his mind filled with thoughts of how beautiful she was. Ana’s eyes were wide with fear as Alan looked between the two of them. He then climbed next to Ana and laid his head on her lap. He yawned and stretched like a cat. 

Anastasia bit her lip and her shoulders shook with laughter. Damien wasn’t sure if he should laugh or cry at the turn of events. It wasn’t like they were doing something wrong. Damien had read that it was good for children to see their parents being affectionate. 

Okay, not that affectionate, but Alan was only three. It could be easily explained as a hug of wrestling. 

Damien scooted closer to where they were seated. He brushed Alan’s hair from his eyes and the little boy looked up with a sleepy smile. 

He was nervous as he plotted the next move. He bent down and took Ana’s lips in the tenderest kiss he could, given that a few minutes earlier, he was pawing her. Ana kissed him back, smiling. Now, they were really beginning to look like a family. Damien couldn’t help but hope that soon, one of them wouldn’t have to leave to go home, because they would all be home with him… in one place. 

“I’ll go make some coffee,” he said. 

Ana nodded before Damien left the room. 

Chapter 61 

Damien banged his head against the refrigerator right after he had started the coffee machine. Anastasia was going to slowly kill him and there was no way he could resist her. But he needed to do it in the right order. 

He sat down and stared as the coffee maker worked. Warm but soft arms slipped around his waist, bringing him out of his thoughts. 

“That could have been disastrous,” Damien commented, his fear showing. 

“It could have been, but it wasn’t. Don’t worry about things that haven’t happened yet. We just have to be more careful,” she advised calmly. 

“Did he say anything…” he couldn’t finish his sentence. 

“No. My guess is he didn’t see anything. Not even at your office.” 

“That’s good,” he let out a relieved sigh. Ana let him go and went to the fridge. Damien noticed the frown. “What’s the matter?” 

“I gave you such a hard time because someone came onto you last time. How is what we are doing any better? Actually, it is worse!”
