LEXI: Happy Birthday????

It has been two years since the attack. Two years since the rogue gave us information. We've doubled the patrols, intensified training for all members and no unnecessary out side travel.

And really its been quiet, too quiet. We have learned a few things though. Our aunt and her coven confirmed our witch's name and the fact she was still alive. They've kept track of her for centuries but recently they lost her. That fact shook us all.

They explained Miama was born a dark witch. She was cast out of her coven for killing their matriarch using blood magic. The forbidden magic. They confirmed the rumors she was working for the Alpha King. And her track record was nothing short of disgusting.

So where we are now. One question is she working with Telth? Not one of us has had a proper sleep. Constantly keeping eyes on the children in different rotations. All four of them now share a room. The constantly patrol means less time with Ilad. Which just leaves me more worried knowing she was exposed. I can't link her to check in because she'll be distracted. And I hate the fact Katie is now on her rotation. She is always feigning helpless but only accepts Ilad's help. Sinead apologized prior to the new shifts but needed his strongest warriors. The blinding light from the sun wakes me up and I growl blindly. My eyes squeezed shut. "Whyyyy! That was such a good dream." I whine and throw my legs in a tantrum. My eyes finally adjust and I find five sets of eyes staring at me. Well hello creepy eyes.

What are they up to. "Happy Birthday!" They all yell and the pups jump on me. I begin tickling them in turns and soon my arms grow tired.

"Ok you four off you go. Let's give her time to get herself together." Ana says and starts pulling them away from me. They all fake growl and run laughing from my suite. As they leave I smile and look at my best friend. "Happy Birthday Lex!" She jumps on the bed and wraps me in a hug. We both start laughing at her childish behavior. As our laughter dies down she sits me up.

"Here, its from Ilad. She's sorry she can't be here." She hands me a box. Inside is a necklace with a beautiful moonstone pendant. "Thank you my love. Its beautiful." I link my mate as Ana helps me put it on.

"Anything for you princess. Happy Birthday my Love." I close the link and turn back to my best friend.
