Chapter 15 Congratulations
“I just can’t bear to part with you.” Elsa tenderly embraced Colton’s arm.
The red heart–shaped birthmark on her fair skin became even more prominent.
In Colton’s heart, a surge of inexplicable anxiety welled up. He glanced at Elsa and said, “You’re not feeling well. Why don’t you go and rest for a while?”
“But…” Elsa looked somewhat astonished. “Didn’t we agree to announce our engagement?”
Colton thought of his grandfather’s stubborn attitude and experienced a mild headache. I don’t know what Francesca had said to my grandfather, but it somehow made him so determined to accept only her as his granddaughter–in–law.
He said in a low voice, “I’ll try to persuade Grandpa. You should go to the resting room first.”
Knowing that he wouldn’t break his promise easily, Elsa had no choice but to follow the waiter out. Just before she left, she shot a vicious glare in Francesca’s direction.
I can’t just sit idly and wait for my doom. Holding her phone, she arrived at a secluded corner and quietly made a call.
Due to Yoel’s high–profile appearance, everyone automatically assumed that Francesca was his female companion. Additionally, her previous entrance with Marcus was considered a misunderstanding.
There were a few sarcastic comments about how capable the Beckman family’s daughter was. Specifically, it was about her being able to climb up to the Zeller family after leaving the Zabielski family. However, no one

Upon noticing the situation, Francesca discreetly sent a message to Marcus, asking him to present the gift on behalf of Fashn Group. She then went along with the misunderstanding and became Yoel’s female companion.
Yoel was extremely delighted to hear that.
Everyone was surprised to see Yoel, who always disdained socializing. enthusiastically mingling with his female companion in the crowd. He even somewhat inadvertently “let slip” the fact that he was already engaged, which left everyone quite astonished.
Unable to bear it any longer, Francesca pinched him hard on the waist, finally extinguishing his enthusiasm.
The chill around Colton grew increasingly intense. Standing behind him, Timothy couldn’t help but raise Francesca’s status in his heart higher and higher.
Colton endured until the banquet was over to stop Yoel, who was about to leave with Francesca.
“Why are you looking for my fiancée, Mr. Zeller?” Yoel said with a playful smile as he looked at Colton.
Since Yoel had always been a troublemaker, and Colton had been strict with himself since childhood, the two were practically polar opposites. Hence, they hardly had any interactions.
Moreover, the two of them had similar family backgrounds. Therefore, Yoel was not at all intimidated by Colton. There was quite a bit of rivalry between them.
Colton ignored Yoel’s hostility and said to Francesca, “Let’s talk.”

Francesca gently pushed Yoel away, who was blocking her path, and spoke. calmly. “There’s nothing for us to talk about. The lady that Mr. Zeller is waiting for is right there.”
She glanced meaningfully at Elsa, who was standing not far away.
At that moment, Elsa’s eyes were red. She stood at the side, holding her belly, looking like a wife who had been abandoned.
Upon seeing that scene, Francesca found it both ironic and amusing.
Colton’s voice turned a bit colder. “Francesca, come here.”
His aura became imposing, and his oppressive gaze was enough to make people yield.
However, that wouldn’t work on Francesca nor Yoel.
“What do you think you’re doing?!” Yoel took a quick step and stood between the two. He stared defiantly at Colton, unable to hide the anger in his eyes. How could this person have the audacity to appear in front of Franny after hurting her so badly? He even has the nerve to give her orders!
Seeing that the two were about to start fighting, Francesca held Yoel back.
After giving him an annoyed glare, she said softly to Colton, “Today is Old Mr. Zeller’s birthday. Let’s not make a scene.”
Due to the atmosphere between the two, many people had already glanced at them openly and secretly. Francesca didn’t want her first appearance after returning to the country to be embarrassing.
“Indeed, there’s not much for us to talk about.” Francesca picked up a glass of champagne and raised it toward Colton. “Congratulations on your wife’s pregnancy, Mr. Zeller.”
