Early the next morning, Cynthia accompanied the two revitalized children to the kindergarten.
The principal, Patricia, greeted them with delight and reassured Cynthia, “Rest assured, we will take excellent care of your children.”
Cynthia nodded, crouched down to Lukas‘ and Luna’s level, and gently said, “Behave well at school. I’ll pick you up after classes.”
Lukas and Luna exchanged a brief glance and obediently nodded.
Cynthia gently patted their heads before leaving to attend to her unfinished business with Hubert.
However, midway through, Lukas gave Luna’s hand a gentle squeeze.
Luna nodded nervously and exclaimed, “Ms. Patricia, I have a stomachache. Can you take me to the restroom, please?”
Patricia agreed to it. Just as she was about to call for another teacher’s assistance, Lukas stopped her. “No need, Ms. Patricia, I know the way.”
As Lukas spoke, he mentally reviewed the route to his intended destination.
Patricia noticed that his classroom was nearby and agreed to let him go on his own. She reminded Lukas, “If you happen to go to the wrong classroom, just ask any teacher for guidance.”
Lukas nodded in understanding.

Having already investigated the layout and routes of the kindergarten through satellite maps, Lukas had identified a small hole in the fence that was just the right size for him to sneak out.
With practiced ease, he slipped through the opening and brushed off any traces of dust from his clothes. Walking out of the alley, Lukas maintained a calm expression.
Unbeknownst to Cynthia, who had been away from her home country for a long time, there was a shortcut from the kindergarten to the Zeller Group. This was precisely why Lukas wanted to attend this kindergarten.
He wanted to see what kind of person his biological father was.
Cynthia was unaware that Lukas, her fearless son, had already embarked on the journey to find Colton. She was still having a delightful conversation with Hubert at the moment.
As for Hubert, he was more than happy to see the collaboration between the Fashn Group and the Zeller Group happen. However, he grew hesitant after learning about Cynthia’s and Colton’s relationship yesterday.
“I’ve known you for quite some time, Ms. Shelley, and I have a question for you. What will you do if anything happens between you and Mr. Zeller during the project?” Hubert tried to be tactful, but Cynthia caught on.
She smiled. “You’re a smart man, Mr. Wayne. You should know better that there are no eternal enemies when it comes to shared profits. There was never any deep–rooted grudge between Mr. Zeller and me, to begin with. Who would give up a project worth billions just to hold a grudge?”
Hubert looked at Cynthia in astonishment. He never expected Cynthia to be so blunt at such a young age.

After a while, he burst into laughter. “Well said, Ms. Shelley. I feel safe collaborating with a partner like you.”
He was implying that he had agreed to the project. The smile on Cynthia’s face grew wider as she extended a hand to Hubert. “This will undoubtedly be a win–win situation for both of us.”
After discussing official business, Hubert asked Cynthia out of curiosity, “Didn’t we agree to meet the other day? Why didn’t Mr. Zeller come?”
Cynthia wasn’t sure why Colton didn’t show up. Hence, she brushed it off with a vague excuse.
After meeting up with Hubert, Cynthia called Colton’s number but received no reply.
She couldn’t help but furrow her brows and wondered where Colton had
gone.
Meanwhile, Colton, who was originally planning to go with Cynthia to meet Hubert, was in shock, for he had accidentally bumped into a fair- skinned little boy the moment he stepped out of his office.
