Chapter 14: Fiery Autumn Haze

The next morning, Victoria woke up and noticed Aunt Paula was fast asleep next to her so she gently slid out of bed and headed downstairs, where Julie was sitting watching TV. When she saw Victoria walk in she smiled and said "Good morning your majesty, are you ready for some pony riding today?". Victoria smiled and said "ooh yes" and Julie said Alright sweetie, let's get you something to eat before we leave". After eating, her and Victoria got in the car and headed off on a 1-hour drive outside of the city to a ranch". When the ranch came into view, Victoria's eyes lit up and she said "wow...ponies gram gram" and she said "yes and you get to ride them". Victoria smiles and said "yay" as they pulled into the ranch and parked.

The owner came up with a smile and said "well how may I help you lovely ladies today" and Julie said, "princess Victoria is here to ride a pony". He smiled and said, "my name's bobby, and it's a pleasure to be in the presence of royalty...may I ask what pony you had in mind?". Victoria smiled and said I want to ride a nice pony with beautiful golden hair" and booby said "I happen to have one right over there". Victoria walked over to the gate while bobby and Julie talked and he said "She's a charming young girl". Julie smiled and said "that's my granddaughter, I'm trying to keep her distracted from the fact that her parents are missing". Bobby said "well in that case the rides are on the house" and Julie said I appreciate it" but I still want to give you this much for your kindness sir" before she handed him 300$.He smiled and said "we're gonna give princess Victoria the time of her life today" before they walked over to her.

Bobby kneeled down to Victoria and said" would you like to ride now? and she said "yes". Bobby Walked into the ranch and grabbed the white, golden-haired horse named angel and brought her over and held her in place while Julie and Victoria climbed up. Bobby said, "hold onto the reins gently and guide her where you want to go and if you need help I'll be right over". Julie let Victoria hold the reins with her and they rode around the dirt track which wasn't that exciting for Julie, but for as for Victoria, she was having the time of her life. They continued riding for another hour before they got off as it was time for Angel's feeding. Bobby smiled and said "would you like to feed her princess?" and Victoria said "yes" before he showed her how to feed the horse and then he let her do it. Victoria giggled as the horse's tongue tickled her hand. After she finished eating, she let Victoria pet her for a bit while bobby and Julie took tons of pictures". Unfortunately all good things have to end and it was time to go, and before they left bobby gave Victoria one of angels old horseshoes and hug and said "yall come back soon". Julie strapped Victoria in before getting in the car and driving back into town. After arriving back in town, Julie said "don't pout my princess, there's plenty more left to do. Over the next few hours, they went to chubby cheesers and ate pizza, played and arcade games and Victoria won herself 3 stuffed animals. After that, they went skating, then to the zoo, and finally go kart cart racing, before heading back home for the evening. When they got back home, Paula and Elizabeth took her for the rest of the evening while Julie rested. They painted, watched some more star vs the forces of evil, and just hung out and played board games before Victoria tired herself out and this time Elizabeth slept with her for the night.

Over the next few days, Paula, Julie, and Elizabeth took Victoria everywhere, from the beautiful mountains to the weird rock formations and she loved it. They had plenty more things to do with her but still, they ultimately knew that they couldn't keep this up forever so they all desperately hoped that wherever Andrea and jay are is escapable and that this isn't the end for them. Meanwhile, Andrea and Jay hung in their cell together with Andi...they had been there for nearly 6 days now and for Andrea, a million things were still running through her head but the main one was about her daughter and how she was taking this. Andi and Jay, however, were looking closely for a means of escape and after waiting for a week, they had finally found and perfected one as today most of the guards were busy with Agathor celebrating the takeover of the next dimension tomorrow.

When the guard came to feed them, Andi distracted him before jay pinned him down and absorbed his chaos, and used it to power himself. He then kissed Andrea, which rejuvenated her powers as they quietly took down guards and snuck out into the courtyard, and quietly escaped the fortress. After making it quite a distance, they stopped in an abandoned house for the night as the temperature was rapidly dropping. Jay went into a room and went to bed while Andi smiled and said "you can go sleep but I need to go hunt me something to eat". Andrea said" I'm going with you unaware of the massive betrayal she was about to endure.
