Chapter 3: Meeting Weirdness

Meanwhile back at home, Andrea had awoken from her nearly 6-hour nap and immediately checked the time and her surroundings. She knew she was tired but she was still wondering why Jay let her sleep for nearly 6 hours, so she went off to find him. As she walked through the house, she smiled at the squeaky clean, floors and the soft feeling the of freshly vacuumed carpets. She went to their bedroom and didn't find him, but she noticed the time was 3:30 pm and that she needed to head to Victoria's bus stop to pick her up in about 30 minutes. Andrea went downstairs and checked his office, to find him involuntarily passed out...she knew he fell asleep because he wasn't even reclined in the chair. She smiled before walking over to recline the chair, covering him with a blanket and kissing his cheek before leaving out the front door to go wait for Victoria.

Victoria was silent on the bus ride home, she didn't even say anything to her other friends Stacy and Tiana, she just sat there staring at her reflection in the window and wondering if she was actually human and how would her parents react if they found out the stork bought them an alien. After thinking further, she decided not to tell anyone unless she absolutely had to, out of fear that her parents would disown her or the government would come and take her for experiments. A few minutes later, the bus pulled up to her stop and as usual, her mother was waiting for her. After stepping off the bus, her mother picked her up, put her on her back, and said "welcome to your private limo...where to princess Victoria?" and she giggled and said, "back to the royal palace, and make it snappy". Andrea giggled and said "yes m'lady" before taking off for home and leaving the other kids in shock as they thought that is actually how her parents treat her".

After arriving home, Victoria felt a little better about her situation and decided maybe she would tell her mom after she figures out herself what was causing them and if she was a dangerous monster. Unknown to her parents or even herself, Victoria's powers made her very intelligent for a 6-year-old, in fact, she had the brain of a 10-year-old but most of the time she didn't want to show it, for fear of being skipped a grade. Victoria walked up to her room to get started on her homework which was nothing but word spelling practice, which she finished in less than 10 minutes; leaving her with time to think. Her mind immediately wandered to Carlos and all of a sudden, her eyes glowed again and this time her eyes fired a burst of purple energy that shot out the lightbulb in her room.

Hearing Victoria scream, Andrea burst in to see the broken bulb and she sighed a breath of relief and said "it's okay honey, the lightbulb just exploded, it's okay I'll just put a new one in and clean up this mess...go downstairs and get yourself a snack and watch TV". Victoria did as her mother said but she couldn't shake that feeling of being an alien or something, but at least she now knew not to think about Carlos. Later that evening at dinner Andrea smiled at Victoria and said "how was school honey?"

Victoria tensed up after remembering what had happened but she still managed to say "it was okay mom, I just accidentally got hit in the head by a soccer ball but I'm fine". Andrea's eyes opened wide before jay shot her a grin causing her to relax and say "well I'm glad you're okay sweetie". After eating her food, Victoria quickly scurried back up to her room, leaving Andrea and jay to finally talk alone. Andrea looked at jay and said "she's acting weird...do you think she's in love?...should we read her mind? Jay grabbed his wife's hand and said, "no that's hovering but if this continues into tomorrow then I will okay sweetie?".

Andrea smiled and said "yes bigfoot" and he sighed and said, "she could be in love... nowadays kids fall in love faster, but I don't think it's nothing to be worried about... it's just puppy love". Andrea blushed hard and said "I had my first kiss in the second grade...and jay smiled and said "I had multiple girls by the 4th grade". Andrea shoved him and said "you little womanizer" before they both turned to look at each other with wide eyes. Andrea said "I'll watch this closely, but for now let's just leave it... it's not like they know about sex or French kissing yet". Jay laughed and said you're right and if something does happen, then I'll just have to use my powers, even though we both vowed not to anymore". Andrea relaxed herself and said, "that sounds good, now go so I can wash the dishes".

Jay got up and said, "we're still playing freaky Uno tonight right?" Andrea giggled and said, "after what you did today, I might just skip the foreplay and get right into it, my big strong giant". Jay blushed before quickly walking out of the kitchen and down the hall to Victoria's room where she was playing with her toys. She ran up and gave him a big hug as he picked her up and ran down the hall with her as she pretended she was flying. After he flew her back to her room, he sat and played with her a bit while Andrea stood in the doorway recording and taking pictures like she had a million times just smiling. She finally walked away and whispered to herself "man I've got the best husband in the world".
