Of course, Liliana was on Josephine’s side. This was how she had always been since university.

Liliana’s mother married Valeria’s father more than a decade ago and became Valeria’s stepmother,

“She’s still the same,” replied Liliana.

Charles stood by the training institute’s entrance and watched Josephine leave in Liliana’s car.

Charles frowned.
He caught Valeria’s hand and asked, “What’s wrong with you?”
Valeria replied, “What’s wrong with me? That woman hit me just this afternoon. Look at the state of my face now. Besides, the two of you have broken up. Charles, you’ll be my fiancé soon!
