Chapter 9 

However, he realized that he seemed to be the only one who was being worried and afraid. Josephine, on the other hand, didn’t seem worried at all. The little one being bathed by her also looked as if he was enjoying it. 

Josephine clothed the child after bathing him. 

Ragnar looked at her coldly and said, “I chose you because you’re a professional nanny, and I felt you’re a kind person as well. If you’re being perfunctory like this and treat the child badly…” 

His dark eyes emitted a sense of intimidation. 

Josephine felt wronged. 

Her stubborn temper also began to rise to the surface.

Ragnar frowned but then decided to watch the video.

He looked at her with his dark eyes and said, “You are a professional in taking care of children. I will learn from you in the future.” 

Josephine replied, “I will teach you to the best of my abilities as well, Mr. Levine!” 

Ragnar frowned upon hearing Josephine’s response, causing her to feel a bit anxious and uneasy. 

She immediately lowered her head and focused on talking and playing with Danny and Manny. 

The lights in Danny and Manny’s rooms were warm yellow, softly illuminating Josephine’s face, which was without any trace of makeup, making her look even gentler. 

Josephine was not the most conventionally beautiful woman, but she had the elegance of a blooming water lily, and her lively black eyes seemed to shine as if they held galaxies within them. Sometimes, she looked obedient, sometimes stubborn, and sometimes a little mischievous. 

Her long eyelashes fluttered like butterfly wings, and she had a high nose and rosy lips. 

Ragnar’s gaze fell on her lips. For some reason, the scene of the woman kissing him the night before popped up in his mind. 

The memory made him feel warm all of a sudden. 

Frowning, Ragnar turned around coldly and left. 

In the middle of the night, as usual, Danny and Manny began crying. 

Their cries rang loud and clear. 

The babysitter tried every method she could think of but failed to coax them.

Ever since Danny and Manny were brought home, they cried every night, and they could not be coaxed easily. Josephine opened the door and came in, and she saw that Ragnar was already in the room. He was holding a baby in each arm clumsily and was coaxing 

them softly. 

His tall figure looked cold and imposing, but he was surprisingly gentle. 

Josephine thought he was a good father. 

She went over to him and said, “Let me carry them.” 

Ragnar glanced at her and gave one of the babies to Josephine. 

Josephine carried Manny, who was crying loudly, and stroked him gently, asking, “What’s wrong, sweetheart? Why are you crying? You shouldn’t be hungry at this hour. Hmm, you haven’t peed or pooped either…” 

Josephine talked to the baby. Then, holding the little one in her arms, she continued stroking him gently while humming a tune.. 

Manny eventually stopped crying and stared at Josephine with teary eyes. 

Seeing that, Josephine smiled. 

After comforting Manny, she went to check on Danny. 

After confirming that neither of them was crying due to physical discomfort, she then placed both of them in their cribs. As she reached out and stroked a baby with each hand, she hummed a lullaby to them. 

Danny and Manny stopped crying. 

They stared at Josephine with wide eyes, listened to her tune, and then fell asleep soon. 

Ragnar looked at Josephine deeply. He felt choosing her to help him take care of the children and signing a prenuptial agreement with her was the right 

decision. 

Josephine turned around and saw the man staring at her. She asked, “What’s wrong?” 

“Nothing.” 

Ragnar rarely complimented people, but he praised her, “You’re doing great.” 

The next day, Josephine created a menu for the twins. 

Since they were three months old, it should be fine to start adding some complementary foods to their diet appropriately. 

Then she created a schedule for regular meals and sleep, and taught the babysitter some professional childcare skills. After that, she went to the office to 

work. 

Josephine had made an agreement with Ragnar. She would be the nanny of the Levine family and would care for the children wholeheartedly, and she could also sign an agreement with him for a secret marriage. 

However, she had the freedom to work. 

She was a seniof nanny as well as a pianist. She would take on piano performance gigs for weddings and teach piano to children at piano academies.

She hated Josephine.
