Chapter 82 

Josephine blushed. “Ragnar, we’re getting divorced in three years. It’s impossible for us to have a daughter together.” 

“After what happened last night, we won’t ever get a divorce. The marriage agreement is now invalid!” 

Josephine was speechless. 

“You’re my legal wife now. I have mysophobia, so I’ll only stay with one woman in this lifetime!” 

Then, Ragnar continued, “Put the children to bed first. I have something to tell you later.” 

After saying that, he stood up and left the children’s room. Josephine was stunned for a moment before she gave the twins a bath. 

A short while later, Hannah brought the milk bottles. After the twins were done drinking their milk, they fell asleep in Josephine’s arms. 

Josephine then placed them on their bed and placed the blanket on them. After that, she walked out of the room with light footsteps before closing the door behind her. 

When Josephine opened the bedroom door, she found out that Ragnar was already done with his bath and was currently lying on the bed while waiting for her. 

He wore a large–sized bathrobe that revealed his tan chest. The moment he noticed the woman that stood at the doorway, his gaze burned with passion. “Come here.” 

The bedsheets of the king–sized bed were changed to a brand–new set. 

Josephine walked over. “What is it? I haven’t taken a bath yet…” 

Ragnar grabbed her before pinning her on the bed and kissing her. The sudden kiss shocked Josephine. 

The man’s kiss was like a raging storm that engulfed Josephine’s breath. 

“Ragnar…” 

“You can bathe later. I don’t find you dirty at all” 

Josephine was speechless. She wanted to say that she was hungry and hadn’t eaten yet. 

However, the man continued to pin her down eagerly like a starving wolf. 

An hour later, he carried Josephine to the bathroom. “Does it still hurt?” 

“Of course! I haven’t recovered from last night! You….” 

Ragnar kissed Josephine’s dry lips. “I’ll apply some medicine for you later.” 

He practiced many years of abstinence, after all. Then again, it was true that he acted rashly when he got his first taste of physical intimacy. 

Josephine didn’t reply at all. She didn’t want Ragnar to apply the medicine for her. 

They went back to bed again where Ragnar applied medicine to Josephine’s body forcibly. “It’s not like I’ve never seen you naked before!” 

Josephine was speechless once again. She felt like kicking Ragnar out, but she didn’t have the guts to do so. 

Josephine could only lie on the bed with teary eyes while watching Ragnar about to lean in and kiss her. 

She covered her mouth immediately with her hand. “Stop it. I haven’t had dinner yet” 

Ragnar’s dark eyes remained fixated on Josephine before he moved to kiss the back of her hand. “I’ll have someone prepare something for you.” 

“All the housekeepers are asleep at this time. Don’t wake them up. I’ll go prepare some food for myself.” 

Just as Josephine got up, she hissed out in pain. 

“Are you able to prepare food for yourself?” 

“It’s all your fault, isn’t it?” Josephine’s aggrieved expression made Ragnar’s heart hurt for her. 

“I’ll do it” 

“Can you cook?” 

“Don’t underestimate your husband!” 

Josephine’s cheeks flared up immediately. 

Aher putting on his clothes, Ragnar went downstairs into the kitchen. 

Josephine waited for a long time. Just as she was about to fall asleep, she heard the sounds of Ragnar opening the door. 

He brought a bowl of tomato and garlic pasta with bits of parsley scattered on the top. 

The dish looked pretty appetizing. Josephine stayed silent as she studied the dish. 

Chapter 82 

It was the first time she was having pasta made by a CEO. 

“Why don’t you give it a try?” 

Josephine picked up the plate, not caring if the pasta was delicious or not. She was already ravenous by that time. 

Even if Ragnar were to bring her poisonous pasta, she would still wolf it down. 

The sight of Josephine gobbling down the food prompted Ragnar to ask, “Is it that delicious?” 

Josephine slurped the last of the pasta noodles before she replied, “I didn’t really taste it. Plus, it’s all right with me as long as it keeps me full. 

Ragnar went silent. 

It was his fault for making Josephine starve to the point that she didn’t bother savoring the pasta’s taste. 

Ragnar left the plate in the kitchen before he went to wrap Josephine in a hug. 

Josephine became nervous instantly. “I don’t want to do it anymore, Ragnar!” 

The man looked at the nervous and helpless woman. His gaze darkened before he took her into his arms. “Let’s sleep.” 

Josephine finally relaxed as she closed her eyes while nestling in Ragnar’s arms. 

“Where have you been today? You came back so late, after all. The man’s voice rang from above Josephine’s head. 

Josephine hesitated for a moment before replying, “I was with Aunt Yennefer. She wants to get divorced from Jonathan. He hated my aunt for not being able to give birth to a child, so he slept with his secretary” 

“The reason why he slept with his secretary isn’t because of your aunt’s inability to have children. That’s just an excuse that man came up with to justify his decision to cheat on her. He’s a total asshole!” 

If it wasn’t for the fact that Jonathan was Josephine’s uncle–in–law, Ragnar would have made his life hell when Josephine was drugged by the Zimmermans. 

Josephine said, “Now, Aunt Yennefer will definitely divorce him, but Jonathan refuses to go through the process no matter what. I think my aunt has to make an appeal to the court.” 

Ragnar caressed the woman’s face in his arms as he asked, “Do you need my help?” 

Josephine looked up with bright eyes. “Not for now. I’ll let you know once we really need your help.” 

“Okay. Remember, you have to come to find me if you need help. I’m your husband, after all. Don’t ever seek out Christopher ever again.” 

“Got it.” 

How could this man still remember that incident?

“Good. Let’s sleep. The moment his words fell, Ragnar planted a kiss on Josephine’s forehead gently. 

Josephine closed her eyes with a smile. 

Since Josephine was very exhausted over the past few days, she quickly fell into a deep sleep after a short while. 

The corners of Ragnar’s mouth curved upward as he listened to Josephine’s even breathing. A happy smile appeared on his handsome face. 

After spending the night with Josephine, Ragnar found himself spacing out frequently during work today. 

He believed that he would never be alone ever again with Josephine accompanying him. 

A moment later, Ragnar also succumbed to slumber while holding Josephine in his arms. 

Warm sunlight poured through the window the next morning. The red sun shone brightly on the transparent glass. 

The woman on the bed rolled over lazily as she opened her eyes slowly. 

There was no sign of the man on the other side of the bed. 

Josephine glanced at the time, not expecting it to be almost eight o’clock. Then, she sat up hurriedly. 

The fact that her body was sore and in pain made her realize that she had slept with the man once again the night before. 

After getting out of bed, Josephine changed into fresh clothes before entering the bathroom to freshen up. Once she was done having breakfast, she quickly made a phone call in order to apply for leave before rushing home immediately. 

Right now, Yennefer needed her the most. Before Josephine left the house, she made sure to take the morning after pill she had bought the day before. 

After arriving at the residential area, Josephine bought breakfast and went upstairs. As soon as she opened the door, she saw Yennefer lying on the couch, still fast asleep. 

Upon hearing the sounds, Yenneler slowly opened her eyes. While she rubbed her sore eyes, she sat up and asked, “Josie, why did you come over?” Josephine replied, “Aunt Yennefer, why are you sleeping on the couch? You’ll catch a cold at this rate. I’ve applied for leave so that I can keep you 

Chapter 82 company.” 

The sight of Yennefer’s pale face made Josephine feel distressed. 

“I’m fine. I was lying on the couch last night and ended up falling asleep here as I forgot to return to my bedroom. You can just go to work. There’s no need to take leave for me.” Yennefer didn’t want Josephine to worry about her. 

Josephine knew that Yennefer said those things just so she wouldn’t worry about her. 

She insisted, “Aunt Yennefer, there’s no need to pretend to be strong in front of me.” 

In order to not make Yennefer sad, Josephine quickly changed the topic. “Aunt Yennefer, I bought some breakfast for you. We can go hiking up the mountain after you’re done eating.” 

“I think I’ll take a rain check on the hike, Josie. I’ll be looking for a lawyer to draft a divorce agreement. Also, I’ll have to return to that place to grab my things.” 

“Okay, I’ll go with you.” Josephine nodded. 

It seemed that Yennefer was determined to get divorced. 

It was a good thing too. Yennefer could make do without staying in that house. 

At a time like this, it was impossible for Josephine to let Yennefer return to that place on her own. 

Samantha tended to say awful things to Yennefer. What if the latter ended up getting bullied? 

Yennefer didn’t turn down Josephine’s offer. She just nodded in reply.
