Chapter 49 

Edith just replied with an indifferent look. There was no trace of nostalgia or other emotions in her eyes. 

She raised her chin and turned to leave. Her back was stubborn and straight, and she did not look embarrassed at all. 

Edith was afraid that she would not fall in love again. According to the speed at which Simon picked up girls, he should be able to find a suitable candidate soon. In that case, Edith would be able to leave the Lawson family soon.
