Edith continued.
“You married Vanessa. But you’re not satisfied with your marriage, because you want more. So you tell yourself that you still love me. So you find a reason to get what you want from me. Right? Johann, I know you so much, even better than yourself!”
Edith was suffering from the deep heartbreak brought by Joharin. She was so wrong to be in love with him until now.
That was Johann. He was such a selfish person that he didn’t have to be loyal in love.
But Edith couldn’t. She only had one heart, one love, for a single person.
Johann was too ashamed to even look at Edith’s eyes.
He found it so hard to face Edith.
“You said you don’t like Vanessa. You said she was evil. But you still couldn’t help protecting her. You do love her. But every time you see me, you kind of think you love me more. Johann, you’re so ridiculous. What you’ve said to me really disgusted me! You’ve abandoned me again and again. How could you treat me that way?”
“It’s over between us. Don’t pretend to be affectionate in front of me. I’ve had enough. I don’t love you anymore. Leave me alone and go back to Vanessa. Stop here. I wanna go!”
Edith said in a firm voice.
She looked at Johann, the man who she had been deep in love for years. They used to be so loving.
But now, it was the end of the story.
She had never imagined that she would talk to him like this. Every word she said was so tough and so indifferent.
Finally, Johann stopped the car. Just as Edith was opening the door, she heard he said. “Edith, I’m sorry for everything, for letting you hate me…”
“Mr. Davis, you must be joking. I have no feelings for you now. I don’t love you, or hate you.”
“Edith…”
Johann was heart–broken by her cruel words. He still loved her in his heart. If he fell in love with two people, there would be half of his love in her!
Johann was unwilling to accept this ending, so he suddenly grabbed Edith’s hand.
Edith got rid of him without hesitation.
“Mr. Davis, we’re strangers now. I’ll forget everything. And I wish you to do the same thing. Please, don’t make me feel even more disgusted.”
Disgusted…
Disgust is even more horrible than hatred.
Johann finally let her go. He just stared at Edith’s back in silence.
But he didn’t really give up. Johann drove his car, following Edith slowly.
But Edith was not touched by him at all. She just heard the sound of car and went on the road.
His persistence was really ridiculous now.
Edith entered a metro station.
She really needed a bar and a few shots to get relieved from all these disgusting memories.
“Alas…
Edith felt like she was shouldering a huge stone when she was walking. It made her hard to breathe.
Half an hour later, Carlos came to a bar.
“Ms. White is waiting for you.”
I’m okay. You can do your things now.”
“Yes, sir.” Sam gave Carlos a teasing glance and thought, “Mr. Lawson really cares about his wife. His mother would be happy if I let her know.”
After Sam lefi. Carlos frowned and looked at the name of the bar.
“Start the Fire…”
She shouldn’t come here by herself. It’s not a good place.
