Nadia felt a bit awkward. After all, she didn’t know James very well, and they had just gotten the marriage license during the day. She wasn’t prepared to bring James to meet her grandmother yet because she didn’t know how long their marriage. would last. Elena had been busy all day and had to take care of her son at night, so Nadia was the only one who could stay with Iris at night.

That night, Daisy’s most important task was to make sure Nadia and James had their wedding night.

Nadia instantly felt the air in the elevator freeze. She couldn’t even breathe. 

It felt like a dream. She couldn’t believe it. She had gotten married in just one day, and she married a man she had known for 

less than 12 hours. 

Standing so close to James, she realized that he was taller than she had imagined. He was about seven inches taller than her. 

The elevator reached the basement floor. James walked out first. In a low voice, he asked, “Which hospital is your grandmother in?” 

As he spoke, he looked around the surroundings. 

“Kingsley Hospital,” Nadia answered softly. 

James glanced around but didn’t see his car. He furrowed his brows and gritted his teeth, cursing inwardly, “Harold, now you’re in trouble, big trouble!” 

Harold had finally finished his early shift and returned home. After finishing his dinner, he leisurely sipped on his coffee. 

If only his boss had gotten married earlier, he, as an assistant, wouldn’t have to work so hard. 

James walked about 50 feet ahead and circled back, but he still couldn’t see his car. 

Nadia didn’t know whar James was doing, but she didn’t dare ask or say anything. She glanced at her phone and saw that it was already 8 p.m. Wasn’t James supposed to take her to the hospital? Why was he wandering around in the underground parking garage; Could it be that he couldn’t find his car? 

“He said he’s a programmer,” she thought. “Does programming all day long make his brain malfunction?” 

James searched around but couldn’t find it. In the end, he had to take out his car keys and pressed the unlock button. Hearing the sound, he realized that his lousy car had been parked by Harold in a corner of the parking garage, blocked by a pillar. 

After getting into the car, neither of them said a word. Nadia felt particularly awkward, so she decided to break the silence. “You must be very busy today, right? I’m really sorry for tonight. I didn’t know Daisy would call you, Nadia apologized. 

James, with an expressionless face, said, “It’s not your fault. Don’t worry about what she said. 

This was their wedding night, but he was a human, not an animal.

After that, they kept silent. Half an hour later, they arrived at the inpatient department of Kingsley Hospital. 

Nadia, carrying a box of cupcakes, entered the ward and saw her sister sitting by Iris’s bedside. The nurse had just finished removing the IV drip.

He has a car and a house, and he’s a good person. The 90 thousand dollars is the engagement gift he gave me, so you don’t have to worry about me anymore.”

In Elena’s opinion, her younger sister was very beautiful. She couldn’t bear to see Nadia marry someone like that.
