The man thought for a moment and said, “Miss, what is your last name?” 

“My last name is Lewis.” 

“Miss Lewis, I’ll be straight with you. We can get married, but I won’t help you to pay your pre–marital debt. I have a house in the city that is my pre–marital property and I am going to split our bills after marriage. I paid the down payment for that house, and the house belongs to my pre–marital property. It has not been renovated yet. You need to pay for the renovation and we can move in after marriage. We’ll pay the mortgage together after inarriage, but I won’t share the ownership of the house with you.” 

Upon hearing this, Nadia really wanted to spill the cup of coffee onto the ugly man in front of her. He even dared to make such a request. 

What an ugly and demanding man. 

Nadia picked up the spoon from the cup and stirred her coffee. When she was about to speak, the man interrupted her. 

“Miss Lewis, you should pay a little more attention to your image in the future. Don’t go out without makeup like today. You’ll disgrace me if I introduce you to my friends and my family.

Nadia opened her mouth but didn’t say anything. How could there be such a shameless man?

But don’t expect my parents to help us with the kids. It wasn’t easy for them to provide me with a college education, and it wasn’t easy for them to raise me. The man didn’t expect her to say such a thing, making him feel that he was humiliated. With an angry face, he picked up the 20 dollars bill on the table and said, “We were supposed to split the cost equally. You definitely need to pay for the coffee you drank.” 

Nadia glanced at the ugly man in front of her with disgust. How could Daisy, such a shrewd person, have such a grandson? 

“Please go back to Daisy and tell her that the two of us have met and that I’m just not good enough for you.”

Nadia hit her nose and her whole body lost balance and fell back. 

She thought to herself, “It’s over. It’s over. I’m going to hit my head.” 

Closing her eyes, instead of pain, she felt a strong, powerful arm around her waist. 

Nadia rubbed her slightly painful nose and looked up, her gaze colliding into a pair of deep and cold eyes. 

It was a man with thick eyebrows and big eyes, a high–bridged nose, and thin lips. His perfect lower forehead line made his entire face look handsome and attractive, and the bangs on his side forehead turn amber in the sunlight. 

His face was even more handsome than a popular star, and Nadia was completely fascinated. 

James said, “Have you seen enough? If you’ve seen enough, I’ll let go of you. You should be able to stand, yes?” 

This was the woman his grandmother asked him to come on a blind date with. Why was she acting like a nymphomaniac? 

He knew he was handsome, but her reaction was too exaggerated, right?

I’m really sorry, Sir. I didn’t notice that there was someone behind me just now.” 

The ugly man, who had just watched Nadia staring at James like a nymphomaniac, was furious. 

“You’re so superficial. What’s the use of being handsome?” After saying that, the ugly man stood up and walked toward the direction of Nadia angrily. 

James hurriedly shielded Nadia in front of his chest. If not for his quick action, Nadia would have been hit by the ugly mant she had a blind date with just now. 

Nadia hastily backed up two steps. She looked gratefully at the handsome man in front of her and said, “Thank you so much for your help. If it weren’t for you, I would have been really made a fool of myself today.” 

Upon hearing this, James carefully examined the girl in front of him. 

She wore a high ponytail, paired with a light–yellow puff sleeve princess long dress, and she was 5 feet 4 inches tall, looking elegant and refined. 

Although she did not put on makeup, her curved eyebrows were beautiful, her clear eyes were attractive and her skin was very smooth. Her charming appearance made her like a fairy who was not from the mortal world. 

“No problem. You should be careful in the future.” James looked up and said in a low voice.

“You’re Miss Lewis, right?” Actually, James had been there for quite a while, and as soon as he entered the door, he had already recognized Nadia. 

It was just that she was on a blind date with another man, so he did not disturb her. He sat down at a nearby table to wait for her.

James sat back in his previous position and pointed to the opposite stool, gesturing for Nadia to sit down. 

When Nadia sat down, James stirred his coffee and looked up at her. 

He said expressionlessly, “I’m James, and I am 28 years old. I have an old and small courtyard house in Kingsley, and I work as a programmer in a listed company. I earn 5600 dollars a month and have a small car for transportation. You don’t need to introduce yourself. I heard your conversation just now.” 

He didn’t want to waste time and just wanted to get it over with quickly. 

At that moment, Nadia’s phone rang and she got a WhatsApp message. She picked up her phone and saw it was from her 

sister. 

Seeing Nadia lowering her head without speaking, James continued, “Do you have any requirements? Feel free to ask. As long as I can do it, I won’t say no.” 

Nadia saved his grandmother. It was his parents, uncle, and aunt–in–law who thanked Nadia in person. He had never seen Nadia before 

Since his grandmother liked her so much, he would just be with her! 

Nadia quickly took her phone to under the table checking the message her sister had sent her. [Nadia, I have raised another 10 thousand dollars for grandma’s medical expenses. We’re still short 90 thousand dollars.) 

“90 thousand dollars,” Nadia blurted out. 

“What? You want 90 thousand dollars?” James frowned. His parents took money to thank her before, but she refused their money and suddenly now she asked for 90 thousand dollars. 

James looked at Nadia in front of him. What was she trying to do?
