The end of the Abominations??

When they were initially discovered in Thailand in the spring of 2020, the “Demons” numbered almost 3,500. Three variations were created by illegally splicing Rhino, Gorilla, and Komodo Dragon DNA with a combination of human and synthetic genetic materials. Experts believe they were being mass produced as soldiers or specialized labor for foreign governments. North Korea, China, and several other authoritarian regimes are suspected of having provided support for the program, despite their denials of involvement. According to their handlers, all of the “Demons” appear far below human intelligence by normal measures. However, many have shown extraordinary abilities, such as being able to operate complicated weaponry, drive vehicles, understand verbal instructions, or work together as a unit. Researchers have described them as being “unintelligent, but clever - and extremely vicious.” During the initial raid that captured the facility, six hundred and thirty-seven UN soldiers, and fifty-nine civilians were killed by hybrids that escaped, or were released from their cages.

According to a report released today by the UN council on human rights, the Demons began showing signs of rapid progeria (accelerated aging) approximately three months ago. Thai scientists who have been cooperating with authorities since the 2018 UN takeover of the country have stated that, in addition to being sterile, all Demons had a five-year lifespan hard-coded in their DNA to prevent organized rebellion. All of the first and second generation hybrids have now aged out of their lifespan and scientists expect the remaining ones to follow. At this rate, all of the Kār sāthit will have expired within the next six months.

Rumors continue to persist that the scientists primarily responsible for the gene-splicing program escaped into mainland China. Beijing has refused to comment.
