I wake up to a bunch of loud noises coming from my living room, I get up and head to the door. When I open the door Sam is being thrown down the hallway and his wing smacks into my door way. I now know that everyone has gathered at my place, I step over Sam’s sprawled legs and head to the living room. I see a couple packs of beer on the coffee table and glance at Kye to see him with a beer in his hand. I lunge at Kye and grab the beer shouting “not for you!” when I grab the bottle he has already drunk most of it. As I go to walk away I see Sam the trouble maker handing a beer to Lavender saying “come on lighten up! It’s just beer!” they’re already all drunk off their asses. I walk over to Lavender and think to myself “he is being a good boy saying no, he wouldn’t ev-” just then he takes a big gulp of beer while Sam holds the bottle. I scream “Nooooo! My good boy!” I lunge myself into Lavender’s lap and knock the beer onto Sam. Sam shouts out like he is in pain, i shout back at him “Man up wussy!” and that’s when Lavender grabbed me from behind “aaaah” Lavender is now carrying me out the door. The next thing i know Lavender is leaping off the small stair steps unfurling his broad purple wings taking me to the sky. I am jerked up and into the cold air, meanwhile Lavender was laughing and flying in different patterns through the sky “slow down!” he makes a sudden stop. Lavender and I are now hovering above a tall building slowly descending to the roof. When my feet hit the roof I jump away from him and fall on my butt “ouch” then Lavender sits next to me leaning on the guard rail of the roof. After a minute he speaks up “sorry about that, I couldn’t risk being followed” that’s when I ask him why “I didn’t want to drink anything but he stuck it in my mouth. Hehe had to act like i was drunk so they wouldn’t come after me!” I turned my attention to him and he continued “My type of demon doesn’t get drunk easily but when we do we are one of the most powerful demons, nobody wants to deal with us while we’re drunk” he chuckled a little. It was nice to talk to him, i felt like something was off though “hey, are you okay?” he gives me a sad gaze and talks in a shaky voice “I don’t like being around the others. They are really strong and scary, they always tease me and pick on me” I lean my head on his large wing muscle, it’s so soft and silky. Without thinking i start stroking his wing, I look over at him and make a promise “what if I promise to come out with you like this once a week? Would that make up for it?”. He has a look of pure joy, kind of like when a little boy gets a new friend to play with. After we made that promise I got up and walked towards the door leading to the roof “you know where this goes?” he shakes his head so I happily open the door. When I opened the door it was a lot lighter than I thought without thinking I jump into the hallway it lead to. I start to fall with a grat thump followed by a few more “oh shiiiit!” I screamed while falling down a bunch of stairs “oh fuuuuck” when I finally reached the bottom my leg felt like it had been broken. I heard Lavender open the door and started down the stairs with his wings still out and right then someone came out of a door near the end of the hall. I directed my gaze back to Lavender “Go back! Someone’s coming” with those words he didn’t hesitate to go back to the roof. I look back to the door and someone in a suit is walking toward me, I was still sprawled out on the floor with a broken leg. I pull myself to a sitting position and yep my legs is broken, I grab my leg because of the pain and whimper. The man who was approaching me quickly turned around and ran into the room he came from, I look at him shocked and scream “wait! I need help!” but he left anyway. I look back at my leg and now I saw it was bleeding “well shit” I stand up using the wall as a crutch and make my way to the corner. I then realize that this is a hotel of some sort “oh great how am I going to explain this” just then I hear someone coming from the hall I just left. I make my way to the end of the hall and fall to the ground in pain “oh the fuck with it” the person from the other hall turns the corner and I scream at the top of my lungs “someone help!” the guy turn around and of course it’s someone I know. I quickly cover my face and peek through my fingers to see Eric approaching me “uh ah um wait wait don’t come here”. Eric doesn’t listen but he suddenly stops for a second and looks at my leg “oh my god your leg!” he ran up to me and crouched down “Miss what happened? You need to go to a hospital!” I crawl into a ball and start muttering “why the fuck did it have to be you, I just want to get home, can we please forget this ever happened” Eric cocked his head and I removed my hands from my face. His face is pure shock and I give a guilty smile “hehe I fell down the stairs, if you don’t mind could you just forget you saw me here” unexpectedly he crouches down and puts one arm under my upper legs and lower back “ah what the heck do you think your doing!? Get your hands off me!” he just ignores my cries and stands up. After I cry out one more time the man from before came out “yooou! I’m gunna kill you!” after saying that I squirmed in Eric’s arms trying to break free but he held on tighter. I kept trying to slap the man but Eric took a few steps back and said “I can’t have you kill my assistant miss Kokio” trying to get a better hold on me. I lean back in his arms and stretch my arms out behind me “but whyyyy! That jerk left me in the hallway!” Eric looked at him for a explanation but received none. After a minute more I had leaked a lot of blood onto the floor and was light headed “hey maybe i’ll take you up on the offer for the hospital” after I said that we headed to the elevator “wait no no, my ride is up there” Eric kept going into the elevator. At that point I had passed out in his arms. When I woke up I was in the hospital with a really bad head ache “what the fuck happend?”. I sat up and felt a gaze coming from somewhere, I look around but can’t turn my head too much “is that you Lavender? Please say you brought Sam or something?” i got no response. The doctor came in with a cheery smile and explained I passed out from lack of blood and my boyfriend brought me in “wha-what did you says? I don’t have a-” just then the doctor pointed next to me and said “then who is this man who brought you in?” I turn to see Eric and I whispered “oh dear god in heaven” he smiled at the doctor and grabbed some papers. I laid back for most of the day trying to zone out, after a while I was able to move without as much pain. I sat up and reached for the phone but it was too far “uh… Eric could you hand me the phone? Also I am so sorry! I know your probably busy so you can head out or whatever!” Eric handed me the phone and I dialed the first number that came to mind. It took four times for the phone to pick up “hey ass hole! Why don’t you pick up any faster!?” the other end of the line was filled with wind blowing “okay I can’t hear you I know where you are though, I am in the.. Hold on. Hey Eric what hospital is this? Oh okay I am at the Okao hospital in town please come soon!” I faintly hear a muffled “uhu” on the other end and hung up. I am so ready to be home… Eric stood up and came over to my bedside and plucked a purple feather from my sleeve. He intently examined it and asked where I got it from “I uh… I have a few birds at home” he jumped at my small comment and put the feather in his suit pocket. After a while I heard a stampede coming from the waiting room “you might want to prepare yourself. My family is coming” Eric looked more dignified than ever. The first two to pile in were Jax and Sam “hey no! I don’t wanna see you Jax!” then Paul and Kye crept into the room next was Jack and Lavender. Jax left the room like I asked and everyone else was giving a blank stare to Eric, Eric put his hand on his chest and bowed saying “hello family of Max Kokio, I am Eric. I am the one who brought her in because of a broken leg” everyone then looked at me in sync. I just laughed it off and say “I am fine guys! I’ll be out of here in no time! See here’s the paperwork” I hand the papers to Sam. He looks them over and tells me where to sign, I sign the papers and the doctor gives me some crutches. I start to walk out of the room and get a bad feeling “hey Eric! Thank you so much, i wouldn’t be okay if you hadn’t come. Also sorry for the way I was acting last night”. Everyone is surrounding him like vultures “ hey guys I will meet you out front, you should go get the car for me, RIGHT?” with that they leave me to talk to Eric. I walked slowly on my crutches beside Eric, Eric is the first to speak “so you have a pretty big family huh?” I nod and say that wasn’t all of them “oh so you have more? I hope I can meet them all someday. I was um… wondering would you like to exchange numbers?” I keep my gaze straight and nodded. When we came out front I gave him my number and he wrote his down, after that I was rushed home. My crutches were taken away as soon as they opened my door and I was scooped from the back seat “hey! What do you think your doing Kye” he smiled and picked me up anyway. My life is a wreck…
