Chp 3

Once we pull up to the factory and park we head into the abandoned building to wait for everyone to show up. One after another we all pile into the building, after everyone is sat down around the table, when the clock hits 12:30am we are finally done with going over the plans for about the fifteenth time that night. I grab my laptop and head out behind the guys, Me and Kye sit in the front while Sam, Jax and Spek hide in the back of Kye’s truck. As we are turning a corner near the bank Kye slows down and one by one they jump out of the truck bed to make their way to the designated locations around the bank. We pull up to the alley we had planned on, it’s about one block away from the bank, just as Kye leaves the truck I get a call from Jax and I ask “hey did you cut the cables?” and just as I say that he replies “we’re all ready, get the camera’s and locks” I quickly open my laptop and hack into the bank’s weak security system and turn off all security while deleting all video saved on the cameras. When I finish I get out of the truck and shine a laser flashlight at the bank door to signal it’s clear, not long after I turn off the light I hear my phone vibrate in the truck. There isn’t another call planned, it would have been too risky, who the hell is calling me at one AM?! I make my way around the truck and grab the phone out of the seat since I don’t really have much else to do in the plan. I miss the call by a hair but am receiving another call right after it hung up, to my surprise it’s the same number “Hello? Who-” I am cut off and interrupted by a strong female voice “Hello, is this Max Kokio? This is jocks town police” My eyes go huge as the lady says the name of the town my parents live in “I need you to come won here as soon as you can ms.Kokio. We have some bad news regarding your parents” all I can say is “uh huh” and I agree to head down there as soon as I can. Before I know it the call ends, I stand leaning on the truck just paralyzed at the call. About five minutes go by and I finally come back to reality, I open my phone and call Jax and he quickly answers “Hey, we’re kinda in the middle of someth-” I rush to speak “grab what you can and meet me back at the base! I have to talk to all of you! It’s a emergency!” on the other end of the phone I hear Jax shouting at everyone and then I hang up. I hop over to the driver’s seat, when I make it back to the factory I park Kye’s truck behind some tall bushes outside then go inside. As i’m waiting I start to pack everything into a couple bags and before I know it four sweaty guys are standing in the entrance holding one or two duffle bags of money each looking at me puzzled. I shout at them “Sorry guys, I am leaving and I might not be back for a long while. I’m sorry for springing this on you all of a sudden but I have to leave, hey Sam can you hand me my switch blade over there” i say while pointing at the far side of the room. Out of nowhere I hear Jax screaming “where the hell do you think your going?!” then Spek “what happened to you?!” next was Kye “your not going anywhere! We just got done with our first mission now your leaving us the night of?! What the hell Max?!” before I know what’s going on I am surrounded by all of them with a upset face on each of them “Okay I know how it sounds but I have to leave! I will be back as soon as I can, It’s a emergency!”

“Why are you packing ALL your stuff?” Spek says in more of a concerned voice.

As Kye just stands there all I can scream is “My parents have been murdered you idiots! I am leaving right now so stay out of my way!” when I finish they all step away and give me some room, after a minute they start helping me pack without a word. We finish in no time “i already rented a car online I am going to pick it up now. I’m sorry to ask but please put my share of money in one of the one bag” with that I take my leave and start walking towards the rental station. I arrive sooner than planned but they give me the car anyway, I drive my way back in a brand new red SUV. I come to the gate only to find everyone standing there with my bags and as I stop the car tears come pouring out of my eyes and I can’t help but sit there for a moment and sob. I soon hear a knock on my window, so I open my window to hear a small whisper come from Kye “hey, keep us up to date. We want to hear from you every day, don’t forget” just then I hear the passenger side door open and see someone in a black hoodie and pair of jeans sitting next to me, they speak up and say “you didn’t think you were going through this alone did you?” as i’m listening I realize the shadow-ish figure is Jax. I let out a sigh and look in my review mirror to see the rest of them packing my stuff into the back seat. I can only say “guys… thank you” over and over again, after everyone leaves me and Jax are sitting in the car and I jump as he speaks up “We should probably get going” I nod and start the car. I just accept the fact I need support right now and that the first person I would’ve gone to was Jax so it’s okay he came along.
