Solveig POV

It's been five years since the war, and five years since we've physically and emotionally become one.

In the events that followed, all the kingdoms were brought under one just rule, including the Fire Kingdom.

In order to have stability in the lands, Ragnor chose certain individuals to lead the kingdoms, however there was only was king,

"The Saviour" .

Everyone followed him and believed he was a walking miracle , since he rose from the dead.

Gunner was placed in charge of the Fire Kingdom, since I had no interest in politics at all. And since he and Freya were expecting their second child, he naturally thought he was more mature than me.

However,all I wanted was to remain by the side of my love forever.

He named me as his advisor which was just a camouflage, so he could drag me along with him wherever he went.

I personally didn't mind. I got to see him every single minute of every day. In front of everyone, he gave off a strong masculine aura , but behind closed doors, in the comfort of our bedroom,where we were the only two souls..

Behind those doors, he screamed out in pleasure beneath me, as we became one. We shared everything.. our life. Our soul...

"Aaaahh.. right there.. don't stop " he gripped onto the sheets as I rammed into him. I kissed up his spine and pushed deeper into him.

He raised his hands up behind him and pulled my head down and turning his head to the side,kissing me and slipping his tongue in my mouth

He turned around and pushed me onto my back and getting on top of me. He took my hands and held it above my head with one hand and with the other, he guided my erection into him, he brought his hips up and slammed it down.

He threw his head back each time my erection hit his prostrate. He held my hands above my head as he kissed me and moved his hips up and down. He moved his lips to my neck and kissed and sucked the skin there.

I felt my self tighten and arched my back.

"Baby I'm close. " I said as I pried my hands out of his grip and placed them on his hips.

"Me too.. " he said as he placed his hands on the bed, on either side of my head and rode me, making me feel like I was about to burst. I couldn't take it anymore and exploded inside of him. He came shortly afterwards onto our chests and slumped down on my chest panting.

I pulled out of him and let my excess fluids ooze out of him. I ran my fingers along his spin as he laid on my chest.

"Ragnor"

"Hmm"

"I love you" .

"I love you too" he said as he kissed my lips and placed his head back on my chest , slowly drifting off to sleep as I ran my fingers through his sweaty hair, soothing him.

I looked at his sleeping face, looking at it, I thought about how amazing he made me feel just by the simplest of gestures.

During these five years, it wasn't picture perfect, we fought at times, but that's what love is. It isn't perfect, and to be able to accept the imperfections is undoubtedly....

True love.

I turned to face him and kissed his lips before I closed my eyes drifting off to sleep beside my...
