I think it’s safe to say I had the best sleep of my life! I was looking forward to seeing everyone, instead of dreading it. Such a nice feeling. Evander was just coming out of the bathroom, when I had stood to stretch out my kinks. I stopped midstretch.. and stared. I opened the door a crack.. and nope! He’s sitting on the bed, tying his shoes. Fuck! I said “Turn around.” He laughed and asked “Why? You saw me in my towel.. I think you should return the favor.”

I pulled out a pair of blue lace boy shorts.. and slipped them on, right in front of him! See? I can play, too! He reached me in one second. Pulling me to him “Careful, love. I grabbed a bra and ran to the closet.. slipped on a pair of jeans and got my bra on. Slipping into my tennis shoes and throwing my hair into a braid.. I was good to go.

We went down to rush through breakfast. We had a lot to get to today. First on our agenda was meeting with the techs.. Evander wants to know what information they had extracted.

Then, the press conference.. which I am nervous about. But, it’s necessary. We have to get our story out there. Awareness is key. Shifters voluntarily came out to humans.. the council thinking it was a good idea.. we will negotiate treaties, they said. We will be safer, they said. Yeah! Well, that didn’t work out!

Sitting in the conference room.. Roy.. the tech was talking.. and I had zoned out. I didn’t understand half of what he was saying.. that is until he said “There are three other facilities.. Two relatively close.. Colorado.. and Nevada. One in Maine. Problem being, we are sure they have become aware of the one here in Montana going down, by now. So they will have stepped up security. That’s the bad news. The good news is, we can hack it. “

I hmm’d and asked “They will step up manpower, too. It won’t be as easy as it was.. What if we expose the locations of these facilities? Our treaties with the humans have been violated. The money is coming from their government.. and I know that for a fact. I also know they are training the hunters at military bases.”

Evander said “Follow the money trail, Roy.. it’s most likely coming from offshore accounts.. but someone high up has to be accessing it. Hunters aren’t cheap..and their money has to be practically guaranteed!”

Draco said “I want the locations of those facilities.. we are going to launch a shit storm against the humans! I am sure the president will try to contact me, once we go public.”

Aurora said “I have the first drafts of the lawsuits I plan on filing in the humans Supreme Court. We are circumventing the council altogether. I will file the cases at the same time of your press conference. You can mention that, as well.”

I said “I prefer to stay in the background.. those videos will incriminate me, as it is. Aurora said “The press conference will only show parts of the video.. your cameo appearance is edited out.. at least until we have to produce it for court!”

Evander said “Babe, I’d like to be marked and mated before we go completely public.” I nod.. knowing it’s the best idea. Okay.. nothing fancy though.. we have a full moon in three days.. let’s do it then?”
